This is wonderful, these mountains are home for me & for the past 7 years since a wonderful friend introduced me to the Avetts Ive been a die hard fan, they are without a doubt the most wonderful musicians out there, life affirming, beyond talented & adept at singing to the hearts of their fans, I finally saw them live Oct. 8th at Greensboro & I will never forget the experience, it was one of the best times of my life & without a doubt the single best concert of my life, I there have been many.

Many years ago, I lived in the tiny town of Marion, North Carolina. Right there on the foothills of Mount Mitchell, this song and the photos really make me wanna go back. Mister Miller, if you live there, you got a very good place to rest your head.

Wow the pictures bring back so many memories! I grew up in the little community of Riceville out by Swananoa and Black Mountain and even though the pictures hold many memories, its the music that takes me back home. Simply put, I am left spechless and infatuated.

@Darkwolf13073 I was at the Greensboro show too. I hate to sound cliche, but the emotion permeated through the air and having Bob return was unreal. Hearing them sing Down in Valley to Pray was my favorite. It's a song my grandfather's been singing for decades :)

This is probably a long shot, but does anyone know where I can purchase this song? I know that it was featured in the Avett Brothers EP released in 2000 which is out of print, but this is my favorite song of theirs.... I want it so bad.
