I had no idea how much school was going to wreck my language goals in 2023 😅 so going into 2024 I think I had adjusted my goals to be reasonable for the amount of time I will have. I incidentally set minimums without realizing it but I'm glad that I did!

Good luck with those, amazing projects for next year! I’m going to set my 2024 goals at some point as well but this time it’s going to be different. So far I’ve set goals that were pretty much detached from each other. This following year I want to continue the projects I’m in right now until I’m satisfied and then maybe start a completely new language 🎉

oh i like language goal ideas / videos for the upcoming year! well i certainly learnt so much about myself this year! especially thanks to discovering YOU, and your awesome channel. I've truly loved getting to know you Emily! through your videos, podcasts, everything!! well, i realized i was holding onto a feeling of ' I need to keep SO Many languages to feel 'accomplished' or good enough as a polyglot. In reality i hardly ever meet people IRL who speak 5 languages or more, and well, you've clearly surpassed well beyond that! so i really like what you say about focus on improving and maintaining, strengthening the languages you're advanced or feel already comfortable in. This new year I'm not adding anything new. I think 'new' for me, is maybe just Korean as I'm currently residing and working here. and Tamil, my heritage language, you've given me courage to really try and make the effort. thank you again!

My most important language goals are to get to b1 in Spanish and Portuguese. Then I wanna keep Japanese on maintenance and possibly start arabic. Arabic has been enticing me so much lately but I feel it'll require so much more than I can give by myself. (theres multiple reasons why i cant get a teacher)
