Awesome race! That start was brutal! My feeling is that you were down on horsepower. Your lines seemed cleaner than the 3rd place driver yet he was driving away from you. Bad luck but a great effort!

For sure there is something with the engine because look at the start (much better start than car 42 but he catches back up to your speed in no time) or you are just 30 kilo heavier than everybody and they don't balance that. Do they balance weight differences in this class? By the way love to see you back with a video!

Love these videos! Great insights and fascinating for a race fan to learn these details. It looked like to me you only lacked horse power. Always pulled away even when you had some beautiful corner exits and should have gained but away they went. Also you did a super good job with your racing line which compared to the cars in front of you was much straighter, smoother and more consistent. Had to be horse power or gear ratio. at face value, 4/18 is not a bad spot at all, seems like you were down on power just a tiny bit, the only other thing i can imagine is that you have set more downforce on the car...? btw good to see you back. hopefully 2021 will be a nice racing year. i'm putting an R1 together for trackdays, so hopefully i will become faster and learn a lot this year as well

Slicks were the right choice in this race, I think. If you were in the back, gambling with rain tire would be an OK risk to take but since you were nearer at the front and slicks seem to be the choice as everyone was running them..... you should have stuck with slicks and be on equal footing with the front guys, which will give you a driver's chance of overtake instead of relying on rain tires and hoping they give you an advantage. Which, as seen in the footage where the guy on slick was able to accelerate out of the corner faster even after his mistake and having a higher top speed, proved that rain tires were more of a disadvantage (at least near the end of the race).

Hmm thats odd about your car not keeping the same pace on the straights as the others. I would say change your sprockets for more acceleration but it looks like you're close to the rev limit on the straights and it might make it more twitchy as well as increase rear tyre wear. Other than that your engine sounds good so its a weird one.
