These holidays are going to be hard for my family also but, I know Brenda would want my family and I to be happy and enjoy our family here on earth, till we meet again in Heaven. Yes, yes!! Grandma and Grandpa would absolutely want you to still enjoy your holidays!! Your grief for both is still so raw, but doing something that brings you joy will help with your healing. The woman, wife and mother you are is such a wonderful reflection and testament of all the good things they poured into you… unconditional love, strength and confidence. As you’ve said so many times, they always wanted the best for you… to be happy, safe and secure.. and you and Kyle have achieved that with your relationship and your beautiful new home and your successful you tube channel, and are giving your sweet littles the childhood neither of you had. It’s so hard to feel motivated when your heart is heavy, so give yourself plenty of grace and do the things that make you the happiest. When you feel the need to have a good cry.. do it! It’s cleansing for your soul and can refresh your spirit … and then jump into whatever it is that makes you feel the best, whether it’s playing with the girls or decorating or… knowing you… doing some cleaning!!! Most importantly, remember the Lord is walking with you through this hard time and when it gets to be too much, just lay it all at His feet and let His grace and comfort bring you peace. ❤️🙏

Watching the girls playing on the bed while you’re changing the sheets was so cool. Now hearing about sissy grabbing her crocks so she could go with daddy and Sookie was just so precious. I wish there was some way we could all just adopt all 4 of y’all so y’all don’t have to feel y’all are all each other has. The pie looked yummy and supper looked delicious too. I’ve got my whole house decorated for Christmas but my kids and grandkids won’t be coming home for Christmas. I’m excited that you’re getting ready to start decorating for Christmas 🎄!! Cort, I always buy bullion cubes of chicken and beef so I have it in stock in pantry in case I ever run out of the carton of broths. Just a handy bit of wisdom from a older chick who got tired of not having it in between grocery hauls! BTW so proud of you. I know you are grieving but you are a beautiful, strong, young woman. That's who your grandparents knew you to be. You are setting a daily presidence of fortitude and resilence for your children . I know the blue days are hard as my mother was one to ignore her children and stay in bed during the sad bad days. Be proud of yourself! You are setting the children up with a healthy attitude regarding mental health!❤

Holidays will be a little rough for awhile. This is the first Thanksgiving/Christmas in 48 yrs without my hubby. My momma's favorite holidays were Thanksgiving & Christmas, cause all the family was together. After she passed away in 2001, everything changed. My hubby, son & myself would have Christmas Eve supper with my sister & her husband. My brother, his wife & family did their own thing and my oldest sister & her family did their own thing. This year will be very different. My oldest sister is 83 and in a nursing home; I have no idea what everyone else will be doing. I understand how you feel . Loss is hard especially around the holidays. I have experienced so much in my lifetime . My brother was murdered when I was younger and I’ve lost grandparents also.my husband and I we lost our first son and after that lost twins. Last year was the first year without both my in laws. So it was the first Christmas without them. It was tough but we made it through. It still doesn’t take the ache away. I think of them daily and our holiday traditions look different now. So it’s tough. But, hang in there you will get through it. Focus on all the fun memories the ones that make you smile and laugh and remember they would want you to keep on smiling and laughing 🥰 I will be taking down my fall stuff either today or tomorrow because I will be filming my Christmas decorating videos soon too. I don’t know how all you good KZbinrs do it! lol it’s a lot of work but, I’m having fun doing it. In between working full time and college myself. But, it is fun! Time consuming but fun! ❤

They would not want you to be struggling and would be happy that you are having a great life with your family. Hang in there. As time goes on it will get easier. I know when my dad died I was only 22. I cried everyday. Eventually I realized he would not want be to be so sad. This is still fresh in your heart but think of all your good memories. It may be comforting for you to know that grandpa and grandma are together in heaven and looking down on you and smiling. Be happy that grandpa is not alone and being with grandma fills his heart with joy. I hope it does the same for you. Just a suggestion, but arrange your spices in alphabetical order. It is so much easier to find them. I love your new shelf. I have one similar, but it magnets to the side of my refrigeration close to my stove. It also has a wooden rod to hang my paper towels. It is so, so handy.

It’s so true! Your Grandpa and Grandma most definitely would want you to enjoy the holidays with your hubby and your beautiful babies! I know how it feels when I lost my grandma it was so hard because she was like a mother to me. I always feel better when I get up and start being productive it helps so much! I'm proud of you it's not is to pick ,yourself up after a loss of grandparents,/parents, I lost both of mine and the only family I have is my husband and dog but that what make me happy, keep your old normal and make a new normal at the same time I talk to my mom all the time it helps ,keeping you and your family in my prayers ❤

I just wanted to say again I'm so sorry for your loss. Keep reminding yourself you've got two Guardian Angels who are so proud of you watching out for you and your family.. and they are always with you just like anytime you use that Crock-Pot Grandma's right there with you ❤ I also do want to say though it is okay to be feeling those feelings. It's okay to cry. I needed someone to tell me that when I lost my mom❤ PS when did you get rid of the pantry? Maybe I missed a video🤦‍♀️ I'm going to have to go back and check now. I am so sorry for your loss! I know the hurt and sorrow from losing grandparents. I was 4 yrs old when my grandpa on my moms side was shot and killed by a family member so I only grew up knowing my grandpa on my dads side. He was my everything. I spent everyday with my grandparents. My grandpa had a hip replacement at 79 and he never walked again. He died from blood clots releasing and hitting his lungs on Christmas eve. I was only 24 yrs old with a 3 yr old and a 2 yr old. We spent Christmas Day evening at the funeral home for the viewing and the next day we buried him. My grandma told me to celebrate Christmas with my babies because thats what grandpa would have wanted. So its been 29 yrs and Im still missing him but I celebrate to keep both of my grandparents memory alive. Im praying for you sweetie because I know how it feels.

Courtney, maybe during the holidays you just sit down and write them a letter. Tell them everything you, Kyle and kids are doing. Tell them how you feel, the good and bad. It might help you just to put it on paper. Just a thought to help the grief process. Love you sweetie.

I don’t leave my strainer in the sink, I leave it under the sink so I can have more room. I love the strainer, I leave that on my sink, that’s an extra for me being I do have a dish strainer next to the sink.
