Thank you for this beautiful message about forgiving yourself. I had a beautiful horse who I treasured who died in a terrible accident I have always blamed myself. If it was late in the week and I had little money I made sure I bought him carrots to go with his hay and grain and bought nothing for myself. I no longer work with horses but live alone but your words ring true. I did do the very very best I could do

Oh that is so sad 😢I had to put to sleep my darling cat Pops 🐈‍⬛in October last year🐾🌈🐾I made decision to allow a traumatic surgery but in the end it failed. like you I tried my best and I did go through a period of critically analysing all my decisions and care and berating myself for not doing things perfectly. The day I took him to vets he wanted to go for a walk but I thought we could do it later - sadly he never made it back from vets that day. 😢Hindsight is a wonderful thing, but all we can do is be thankful for the memories of those kind and loving and funny moments with our darling animal friends. The pain when they leave us is the price of the love we shared. Be kind to yourself your horse will forever be with you in your heart I am sure you gave him the best life. Sending much love to you❤️

He must have been a great friend to you. My horse's name is Father Art and was the most beautiful spirit I have ever crossed paths with. I would have followed him anywhere but I cannot follow here. I have a friend who told me I know you can't replace him but you could get another horse. I never have. You are exactly right about the constant critical analysis and what could I have done differently that is constant. We can never replace our pet companions and many people do not understand how we grieve when we lose them. I am sure your friend meant well though and that is love of sorts. I do hope you can find companionship with another animal even if only fostering as you sound like you have so much love to give, just take time to heal your broken heart a little first. 💝

Dearest Jonna, During the entire last year I was struggling severely with my mental health duo to losing beloved people to the point that I was thinking about seeking professional help. During the whole last year I had many ups and downs and was going through a terrible depression. I found my comfort and help in the dancing community and your inspirational videos. Today, on 15th jan, we mark the beginning of the Indian new year (especially called as Hindu new year). This video just popped up randomly and really left me mesmerised. Honestly speaking, I am pretty low and last year has been a bit hard on me. Unfortunately, I don’t have a shoulder to cry on, as I don’t like to express my feelings that easily.
