For the second tank top, few more sections of embroidery like you already have on the neckline in a few different shades of red and then some black lace would look SUPER cute. Or you could just add more black splatters here and there and then the original spot would look purposeful ^-^

Thank u!!! I was worried someone would be mad at me for stealing but yes I agree it’s ok to copy designs if it’s from a big franchise and for personal use 😅

I agree, totally fine for taking it from big companies to use for yourself, as long as you don't share like your pattern templates and stuff. Part of me even thinks it's not a big deal to take screenshots/whatnot and make for yourself from anyone, but then don't go and broadcast the item on here or social media, and especially don't tell people how you made it either (saying "freezer paper and ink" or whatever is one thing, sharing pdfs of the exact templates is totally different). I've taken screenshots of some smaller cross stitch stuff and then made my own pattern from it, but I just kept it for myself. Or if you do end up sharing a partial or full pic of your project, make sure to link the artist you got inspo from and tell people to support them. I hope this all makes sense, it's been a long day lol

For the bat wing collars, you might try trimming the seam allowance and clipping the curves. Also, for very sharp points, you can sew a bit of thin ribbon at the point, then when you turn it, pull the ribbon to make a very sharp point. Then press the point into place and cut the ribbon off very close to the edge. Hopefully thats helpful! Youre so creative; I love watching your DIYs!
@sarahpoison26462 жыл бұрын
Oh also! Maybe top stitching near the edge once its pressed. Again just trying to help! 🖤🖤🖤
@darlingdivadurelle2 жыл бұрын
I love your excitement with sewing adventures.. with your spiky bat wings collars they ar puffy because you need to clip the seams before you turn the casing . Meaning for the seam to lie flat you have to release the tension by clipping g into the seam or by trimming close to the seam…then after you turn it right side out use a good steam iron to relax the fabric and it will lay as flat as the ones you simply hemmed .. happy sewing ! My almost 14 year old grand daughter is learning to sew she watches your channel hope she gets some inspiration from you! ❤️❤️

Yay stencils! I absolutely LOVE using stencils to print stuff on clothes. I agree that using adhesive vinyl generally leads to the best / most crisp looking results. Regarding "unnoficial merch", I think it's generally ok as long as you aren't selling them. Personally, I make a lot of DIY merch, mostly because i have a hard time finding merch that I actually want to buy. The way I tend to get around the whole copying issue is by trying to come up with my own designs, inspired by whatever piece of media that I'm trying to reference. BTW I adore your DIY videos, I always find them super inspiring! I'm definetely gonna be making some capelets for myself. Oh, also: to make your collars/capelets look less jester-y, you might want to try ironing the seams and topstitching along the edge. I find that by doing that I generally get crisper edges. It might not work on every type of fabric, tho.
@Grimsleeper20032 жыл бұрын
You should totally make a video about how to make custom plushies. I would love to see that
@slinger61232 жыл бұрын
maybe you could cover the ink spot by replacing the red thread with black thread and then going all the way around the collar sewing black, then leaving some space bare and then sewing black again so it would make a sort of stripey pattern on the collar seam??? im not sure if that makes sense but i hope you figure smth out :) love your vids

I love the triangular lace cape!!! You posted the tutorial in the description but that person now has the video on private. Can you please explain how you made that triangular lace cape so I can make one too?
@RattusRattus Жыл бұрын
The high neck white triangle thing? It’s a bit hard to explain over text, but I’d say the basic thing you’re doing is making a detachable collar. (This video explains how m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/pZ3FgnxsrrJ9aZI ) now, adjustments you will need to make , first, you will need the neck to go higher, so draw a little high neck into your pattern, second (and this is optional) I turned it around so it does up in the back, and opted for buttons instead of ribbon to hold it tight. Third , you need to make the pattern pointy, instead of the two round peices, do one giant triangle. I used a well fitting t shirt for the template. You can add lace trim like I did or keep it plain. To be honest I’d make a regular detachable collar for practice so you understand the process, and then adjust from there if you have the time / scrap fabric ! That’s how I made all mine, was through expirementation! Good luck and enjoy ❤️ sorry if this wasn’t very clear
@katleiahveridian65642 жыл бұрын
I just wish you showed more of how you actually made things.. like did you make a template for the collars and capes? I would love to make some of both, but am not great at sewing.. any tips or tricks would be appreciated!
@RattusRattus2 жыл бұрын
I linked tutorials that I followed in description! For my “expirements” I plan to maybe make a video explaining in depth how I made those (the square collar, triangle one etc) but if you adjust Anita Benkos collar tutorial you can make a collar of any shape you want (just using a t shirt and tracing paper!) this is basically what I did for all my expirements, but I might try to make a vid in the future showing an actual “tutorial” 😅 we’ll see! Thank you tho!
