My Latest Estate Sale Haul!! Antique 1940's hutch, Butcher Block, Coin Glass

Everything happens for a reason. The furniture was meant to be in your home because you will care for it. I collect blue willow china and went to an estate sale and the young lady was clearing her grandmother's home out. When she saw how much I loved the blue willow she gave me two items worth over $200 for $10! I showed her pics of my collection and she wanted the items to go to someone who would cherish it like her grandmother and not an antique dealer. Enjoy your pieces, they are fabulous.

I have mantle that we purchased at Renninger's, Mt. Dora in the 90's, to this day I still run my hands over the wood for the sense of touch that it gives me on viewing and feeling this piece of history.

I know how you feel over finding something as beautiful as the pieces that you have acquired. I have also found some great buys at Estates Sales, I'm more thrilled with finding an old piece than buying new from a store. When I used to go to garage/thrift sales I would refer to it as going "rag picking", but some of those "rags" are quite valuable today. I love all of your videos...keep them coming!

I wish you had of just paid the 350 for the grandfather clock. I have one I waited for for years!!! I got it fir 7k on sale!!! They are so expensive in the clock stores! Go for it next time. I know you must be disappointed. The butcher block is stunning. Love the way you added the beautiful finish.

Ohhh I love your Estate sale finds. You just gave me an idea to store my Christmas treasures in a wardrobe/dresser that I don't really use. I have a big estate sale to go to January 16th. I collect vintage/old LP albums...and this estate sale has 150! Also there's a butcher block much like the one you have. It will be interesting to see what it goes for. I have one, so I'm sure one lucky person will enjoy that one. This home has 90+ Tiffany Lamps. There is so much well curated pieces...this homeowner was a great collector of fine things.

This was way too much fun. The Paine Art Center in Oshkosh, WI has woodwork like the front of your cabinet. Constructed in the 20-30s. Ok, again, now I have cabinet envy!!! I’ve admired the carvings in that art center for 45 years! Lovely.

Yes that is a very proper China hutch, very proper indeed! Amazing the stuff made it through to the half-price day, lucky you! Great finds at great prices. But I had to go back to replay the other other hutch towards the end of the video. Is that red rimmed Japanese export? My grandmother had a small cup and saucer on a shelf for years and when she passed away I gave it to mom, as I was living with grandma in her home. Mom said my dad brought it from the orient in his Navy days. I started getting more pieces at garage and estate sales, but they're all small. Mom has since passed, but I might have to look for some larger pieces to that collection if those are the same. Thanks for sharing your information and fun! Those were incredible finds! That China hutch is real quality. They just don't make furniture like that anymore. I have two Fostoria Glass roosters. And unfortunately unlike you, I end up breaking what I love. I broke part of the tail off one of them. I have the broken piece but don't know if it can be repaired.

The design is based on an 17th century English or Dutch court cupboard, pretty. Probably made in North Carolina or Grand Rapids, Michigan. Is your cruet American brilliant?
