I love seeing the pattern manipulation/alterations. I’ve recently been making small changes to a couple of basic patterns that I love. It has made all the difference to liking wearing the design to loving wearing the design. I feel more videos like this are just so helpful to sewers to visually understand why something they make may just need that little tweak and what an enjoyable wearing difference they make. Thank you. Love your dresses

Hi, thank you for sharing your adjustment process, and for saying don’t get too hung up, I’ve been putting off starting a make of the lovely placket blouse you did a lesson on with the tencel lawn I bought in the summer. I am going to make a toile but have been shy about giving it a go. So, it was reassuring to me when you mentioned that you have also experienced, having the equivalent of writers block, not that I can call myself a sewer yet, knitting’s always been my go to in the past. I learnt to use a sewing machine early in life, about age six with a handled Singer! And have always had a machine but only recently, and a large part due to your fab videos, really connected with sewing.

Enjoy your videos, so much. Such a great idea to take your favourite tee shirt pattern and add a skirt to it. Love this and going to give it a go :)

The fitting adjustments is something I have been wanting to see how its done as I have same fitting situation as you Lucy. I just so happen to have a revised edition 1993 of Easy Easier Easiest Tailoring book by Pati Palmer & Susan Pletsch which I bought back in the 1990's and not used it. Now I thought that this will help somewhat when it comes to making a blouse and it shows how to alter a pattern to fit the body let alone making a jacket etc. Besides the book I can look at your adjustments also to get the idea for altering a pattern to fit me properly and have no gaps round arms and back neckline. Thanks ever so much for sharing!

Gorgeous colour 😍. Do you find your feeling yourself a lot lol😉 Investment for the channel in 2022 a second camera for the long view. We don't want you falling off the stool while modeling! If it's at the side you could just turn to show the full look. 💖

Thanks for the warning about over fitting obsession, been there before and it makes you not want to delve into anything again thinking about all the work. It makes sewing too much of a chore.

I'm just getting over some heartache from people that I knew didn't care about me but what they did was even worse than what they did but now I understand it's just them and they'll never change but I can so I am planning on staying positive for this year even though their plans on keeping me the opposite. by the way great make and thank you for showing us everything and giving us the links to make our own.

Thank you for this. Sorry for a beginner question - when you join bits of paper to your pattern - is it tracing paper you use and what glue? I am currently using what I have which is baking paper and gaffer tape (probably not the best option🤣🤣) Yours a confident but in competent beginner.
