I think the lazy natural option is just so overlooked and underrated. When I stopped restyling every minute and trying different products everyday and detangling every time i retwisted my hair started retaining length. Cant wait till next year I know ill be mid back length since I dont plan on making any changes.

I'm a lazy natural but I wash my hair weekly. Sometimes I've done something to flare up seborrheic dermatitis so I gotta use an antifungal (but I'm using the antifungal less and less these days), but I've also centered my routine around making sure all my strands are drenched before sealing with blue Magic so I use the wash day to get the moisture in. At some point my scalp isn't really going to need any help at all, so I'm thinking I'm going to have to drench my braids and seal without relying on the washing process for moisture. My hair is in mini braids though... So my entire shower and wash day takes 25 minutes / a week (12 minutes wash and condition lmao). Then I apply blue magic for like 10 minutes. I'm living the life and gaining inches! ☺️

Hey!...So I have seb derm...so you DO put it on your scalp or just your ends? Do you rinse it out? I believe my scalp is damaged because of seb derm...it hasn't grown for about 4 yrs...

It might be nice not to need to shampoo weekly, but I didn't get that lucky. I need to shampoo every 5 - 7 days closer to 5 days most times. At least it only takes me 45min - 1hr to get it done. My hair isn't as long as yours either it's only somewhere between waist and hip.

Beautiful hair! I actually especially like it when it's a bit 'shrunk' (a misnomer IMO), as it still looks pretty long and has awesome volume! But I understand why it's a pain to detangle it afterwards if left shrunk (more like, re-coiled). I too am lazy and I want to reach butt length, but I am not type 4 but type 2 (I am not black, I just like natural hair, I think it's so pretty and versatile). Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to have very long hair. All the women with long straight or straight-ish hair that I saw in videos just could not explain why their hair grew so long, it just did (maybe not in the healthiest manner but it did...), while mine just burned at the ends! It was from natural hair videos that I understood the importance of moisturizing, protective styling, hair masks etc etc. Now my high porosity hair (that is actually 2c...it was straight-ish before hydrating it) is happy and as a side note, it also got curlier. I hope to get at your length more or less. God bless.

My hair can go 14-30 days between washings if i spray aloe Vera/tea tree oil on my scalp every few days. Lazy natural is my VIBE! Last year a spent a lot of time in mini twists, this year i want to do the same but learn quick non direct heat ways to stretch my hair (I’m thinking either rollersetting or banding and sitting under the drier). Love ur videos! Any style that allows my hair to be left alone 14-30 days is critical to my hair health.
