darksound yes it does... I’m rocking braids no extensions right now because of that
@chemirem.39344 жыл бұрын
I am the same. The thing is the longer it gets the more it tangles. While other naturals with thicker strands the weight of the length sort of reduces tangling for them I think. Also. Shrinkage can worsen it. If you have 85-90% shrinkage like me. I never stretch with any device. Because of the tangles. It only stops tangling when it’s semi straight and the breakage to get there isn’t worth. My hair is thriving on sticking to shrinkage friendly hairstyling out of braids.

Great video. One thing that is not working for me is going to the salon. They just don't have the patience to detangle my fine hair with care.

Great advice! Personally I had to eliminate all styles using extensions including crochet braids. It makes me sad because I love these styles but they were just too much weight and tension for my hair. Mini braids and twists with my own hair have given me the fastest growth but they take forever to put in and take down so I don’t do them as often as I’d like.

She forgot to mention what products you should use for fine low porosity hair. I have 4a 4b fine dense low porosity hair. Since I have both fine and low porosity hair I need to use light weight products like leave in sprays, hair milks, Moouses and flexible hold gels. Avoid creamy thick leave ins, creams, butters, heavy oils and firm hold gels.
@MsHoneyFly115 жыл бұрын
I have fine, high porosity, med density 4b/c hair. I wore my natural hair out all summer and didn’t retain much length because it kept drying out before the week was up and I didn’t have much time to deal with it. The rest of the year I wear wigs. This is when I retain moisture and therefore retain length. I agree wigs are the best protective style for fine type 4 hair.

I just started wearing a wash and go for the third week and then back to buns. I am not into wigs and it’s been years since I wore braids. I am too impatient with the installation and take downs😂😩.

I feel same with braids. It's also been ages since I wore them mainly because I don't trust anyone with my hair and because it would take too long to do it myself, which is why I made a twist wig which I wear occasionally. I have been refusing to accept the truth to myself. I have fine strands. There, I said it. Especially my front hair. And it grows the slowest😩... My hair tangles like a weed. I can't carry a bun out and take it down without ssk's (no matter how patient I am). Knowing how my hair is, I make it myself and only on special occasions that include extensions that I go to the salon. When I finally let my sister make cornrows for me (she is very good at it).. she was so frustrated, she promised not to ever touch my hair. The tangles were just horrible, and you can't unravel them. They would just turn to ssk's. Cornrows that'd take an hour and atleast 45 mins. Max. Was almost three hrs thirty mins. She made her own hair under an hour with just a spray bottle of water and oil. No freaking tangles. It's not easy... But I'm learning to accept it and work with what God blessed me with.

Your hair is so beautiful!! Your videos are very informative. I have been natural since 2011. I have not been doing much to my hair until April 2020. My hair is fine and seems to be medium density. I have been wearing wigs and braiding it. It has grown to but very slow because lack of tlc. The back is shoulder length and the front is thin and ear length. It looks terrible. So what I have been using three products as of this month kinky curly leave in conditioner. Dr. Miracle deep conditioner and Jamaican black castor oil with rosemary and I can see the difference in these last 3 weeks.I only finger comb my hair and trying to be as gentle as possible. I am not going to use other products because at this time it seems to be working and I don't want to confused. You are very encouraging and thank you. New subbie. I don't feel comfortable with the way my hair is now so I wear natural hair wigs but 3 days a week I use the oil I spoke of earlier.

Always listen to your hairs needs. If you feel your hair needs the extra moisture, then by all means do more deep conditioning. I think using a thicker paste is easier to work with and won't be too messy, just don't make it to thick though.

Moreover we both live in Germany (came here 1 year ago) and I also have fine natural hair. But also cutting my hair every month is not good. And having high porosity hair doesn't help... I still have to find the solution, but now I am super motivated now thanks to you. My hair at the front stopped growing in my first year of being natural. I’m two years natural this month. I used to think it was short because of relaxers when I was relaxed. Now I thinks it’s just genetics. It just doesn’t grow and sticks out when I do styles. Really bugs me. I’m getting so many single strange nots, I’m worried my hair won’t go past shoulder length as I’ll keep having to cut them off. I’m getting an inch off next month. Any advice? I wash weekly or biweekly and I deep condition with Shea moisture manuka honey my favourite!!!

How do you wear you hair most of the time( more out or in protective styles?) Do you use heat? Do wear styles, where you leave your front section out( like weaves) It's really difficult for me to give an advice, based on few informations without actually seeing the hair you know, but I'll try. ❤

Obaa Yaa Jones hi girl! I don’t use heat at all. I’m two years of being natural, I blow dried my hair by a hair stylist to have it trimmed back in May this year. Now my hair is longer I wear it in twists or I wear a twist out. If I wear mini twists I’ll keep it for 2-3 weeks if it’s a twist out it’s a max of 5-7 days. I don’t wear weaves or wigs as my mum lost her edges due to this, I don’t want traction alopecia. I did wash and gos during the summer but my hair type (4) just wasn’t playing ball. I had 90% shrinkage, my shoulder length hair looked like barely 2 inches and that’s me being generous. I’m becoming increasingly frustrated with my hair. The longer it gets the thinner, more wire-like and knotted it becomes. I spend 2 - 5 hours on wash day detangling and deep conditioning and it’s still tangling whilst I twist it up. I live in the U.K. so the whether is 75% humidity. I use Shea butters to seal. Help a sister out girl?💖

@@inthefashionfocus so growing up I had the same issue you have now, my hair just wouldn't grow past a certain length and i was loosing hope QUICKLY. But then me and my friend changed our diet to more all organic foods and we had a daily schedule to drink water or water based beverages. And after about a month into the diet I IMMEDIATELY noticed growth in my hair. And at that point I discovered that I also depends on taking care of my insides as well. Perhaps it's diet that is the final price of the puzzle. It was for me at least but good luck gorgeous ik you can do it 😉😉😉😉

I don't like to use the hair typing system to classify my hair....Perhaps in a future video I might show my natural curl pattern.

My hair is fine and thin 😭 anyone have and good product suggestions
@ObaaYaaJones5 жыл бұрын
Perhaps you could use light weight products like spritz( aloe Vera jucie, rosewater,or other...) and seal with a light weight oil like Almond. But if also have high porosity, you have to moisturize your hair very frequently and in winter multiple times a day...
