If genetics is not a part of it, how come many people who genetically have straight or loosly curly hair don't have to do all of these things 100% correctly and can still grow their hair? Genetics play a part and to deny that minimises people's struggle and makes it an individual's fault. Everyone is built differently. These techniques work for many people, but they won't necessarily give you someone else's long hair.

My scalp starts to itch once it's a week after wash day. Ot forces me to wash every week. I rebel sometimes but I begin to scratch outside😢 But I'm so busy and it doesn't matter if I put anything on my scalp.

Thank you for showing your process and explaining what you do. I needed this video as I’ve experienced breakage due to not handling my natural hair properly. I have to change how I care for my hair because I don’t see much length retention, and I know my hair grows so it’s so frustrating for me. I’m slowly unlearning my bad habits because I believe I was causing damage to my hair, and I want to do better moving forward. Your channel is helping to educate me on how to care for my natural hair properly, and I appreciate it a lot. Hope you are doing well and God bless.

Honestly it’s not genetics even though I come from a family with long hair I know lots of women that don’t it’s also what you put in your body will show on the outside , sleeping and how much you take care of your hair your hair needs nurturing too , stress levels also plays a big role and hormones as well

I mostly finger detangle, but sometimes I have to use a comb on my ends because my hair gel gets gucky on the ends. This is hard on my thin fine 4C hair, but for the most part I have retained a great deal of length. thank s for your tips.

Exactly. They'll use any excuse not to make the changes and/or investments, or do the work. Before I knew how to handle my hair, it was always short and broken off. I've already chopped it and grown it past mid back 3 times now and I have the "nappiest" hair. Black women's hair grows with the right care with the right length retention practices. It's not hard.

We don’t even have to do all that work and our hair will indeed grow. It doesn’t have to be down our backs shoulder length, bra length is good enough

Question? Do you need wear protective hairstyles with weave? Or is it healthier to wear protective hairstyles with your own natural hair like natural braids?

This was a message for the masses. I thank you so much for listening to your heart and thank the holy spirit for placing it in your heart to deliver this message to us. I needed this as it is confirmation for me. I have been saying I'm going to start reading my bible more but have ceased to do so. I will make it my business to incorporate my life around that of serving, worshiping and praying. God Bless you!!🥰🙌
