As an indian with PCOD to make hair growth worse, getting facial hair removed with LASER has CHANGED MY LIFE. I'm free from irritated face skin due to waxing/shaving and my face is a lot smoother. It is costly but so worth it. Now I only wax my legs and arms which don't even hurt that much anymore lol Edit: for some reason my replies aren't visible to everyone :'D I'll try to answer briefly here, - I'm paying INR 4000 per session. I need 6 sessions and they are scheduled every month. The no. of sessions and price depends upon different things please consult the doctor for this info. I'm getting my face (upper lips, chin and sideburns) done so the price is set accordingly. For everyone with PCOS its important to maintain your hormonal health with good routine, diet and exercise bcs if hormones are imbalanced your hair will grow again even after Laser treatment is done (but laser does help as you wouldn't need to shave/wax too often). As long as you keep your health in check, Laser can be sooo worth it

@@Princess_chocolate_ no side effects, i havent shaved ever since i started. i had pretty thick hairs and longer, like 1 cm long. i started in September but i havent been consistent so i still have to go, but it's worth it. i had been shaving and using dilapitory cream before and let me tell you, both were very bad. i have no upper lip hair now and none on my chin but since at first they refused to do my cheeks i still have some there but nothing like before. it's cheap in my country, so that helps.

I am getting my body waxed from last 25 yrs. its best way for hair removal. My hubby went for laser got a burnt kind of patch on leg thats not healing and sometimes itchy too. Even after 7 sittings after some years it failed as claimed to be lifetime hair removal. Will not recommend laser to anyone on my family’s experiences

Everyone is talking about not waxing on periods when they should be talking about how badly the wax is being applied. Or that she literally said her skin gets ripped off. Although waxing is a form of exfoliation, you shouldn't be feeling your skin rip off. Soft wax does that when it's applied to the same area more than once, and doing that should be avoided.

I struggled with waxing for a long time and it never seemed worth the pain, cuz the hair would always start growing back like 3 days later. then I changed to shaving, but the hair would be there the next day and I’d have all those dots of ingrown hair… stressful as fuc*. laser changed my life and I’ll recommend it to everyone I know. technology advanced and it doesn’t hurt as it used to, so it seems like the better option, even when you think about it financially. of course there’s always the option of keeping our body hair and not being ashamed of it, but its not for me

For girls who havnt been introduced to epilating!!! Its for girls who dont like shaving and only wax ! You guys need to try! It saves money and gets ur hair thinner. I waxed for 10 years and it was the same but 1 epilating session and the hair growth was less and soo thin. Its a small machine you get for very cheap rates and waxing seassion will be exciting. It pulls out hair shorter than .000001 cm which is obviously not possible for the wax to do. I never shaved ever so my alternative for waxing was either laser or epilating. And epilating is so much cheaper!

@@blackpink5937 for laser u have to shave hair and leave the hair follicles and laser hits it so it weakens and hair grows slow or dimishes. With epilating its only pulling each and every strand and new hair grows back but lighter but thicker. It wont disappear. Laser is expensive and quick result. Epilating is cheap and slow result. My hair growth is typical south asian woman types and its reduced drastically and much finner.

As a hairy girl, waxing caused folliculitis and scarring for me, so i had to change to more expensive way: laser. Laser is painful too but less than waxing. For normal girl, it took 12 sessions of laser until she has bald legs, i took 6 years (2017-this year=~60 sessions) to be almost bald. But the beauty of laser is it's permanent.

It may not work for everyone but I highly suggest shaving. As long as you use the right brand and are careful it won’t hurt and you get to be un-hairy and not be in pain/discomfort [im not sure if some religions dont allow it because mine does and some people have delicate skin so shaving still hurts]

I'm not a beautician but I am pretty sure you are NOT supposed to wax at the same place twice. The white one is Rica white chocolate wax and clear one is honey wax i believe. You are also probably NOT supposed to use both of these together. You'll probably have petechial hemorrhage under your skin in multiple places.

Why not just get your own at home laser removal device? I used to go years ago, for about a year, and I still don't have hair growing on my legs. It wasn't expensive, imo, either. About $50 a session, every 3 weeks. Almost the same as getting waxed. A very decent investment. 😊 It also hurt wax less than waxing.
