I think Amir is a good example of a man-child. I like how this story acknowledges the issues that ADHD kids face in schools. In real life, Amir would probably be better off in an adult community education program. Even if he didn’t pass the fifth grade, he is a fully grown adult man and there will be safety issues for both him and the children. I think it was inappropriate for the teacher to consider dating Amir. Liked the references to Pokémon and Marvel. At least he had help in the form of his cousin who found out a way he could learn.

I have severe ADHD and this is relatable in alot of ways. Being pressured and having other people doubt you just because you learn differently and struggle with understanding stuff really sucks. I am a teenager now, it was harder when I was younger but its still really hard now too, but I am doing my best and I know I am smart. My advice for other people out there who have ADHD or any type of learning difficulties.. is to never give up and keep trying because one day, you will know just how capable you are because you will know you never gave up. 😊

@@thebreadstik well it’s different for everyone, especially based on you’re gender. But for me, as a girl with ADHD… for me it feels like you’re trapped in feeling like you are different from everyone else, and you feel like you can’t ever see things the way other people without ADHD do because the adhd brain is so much different from the brain without adhd. With adhd, it’s harder to explain things, you can’t ever stay still you, you’re body always has to constantly move and it’s harder to control, lots of overthinking and overwhelming thoughts and feelings, you view situations differently, such as sometimes not taking them as serious as they are. And then you also feel like anger takes over you’re mind but that’s not for everyone, severe adhd causes all the symptoms to be 10 times for intense, such as anger, concentration, hyper moods (that’s mostly boys who are more hyper) etc. ADHD just feels like constant feeling like you have to know everything exactly the way other people without adhd view, and anxiety comes along with adhd too. Boys deal with some of the same things as adhd in girls, it’s just different and idk how to explain correctly cause I’m not a boy lol. That’s the best way I can explain it in the most common way too if you know what I mean lol

Dhar, you have changed my life and I really appreciate it. I’ve been bullied since year 3 (it hasn’t stopped since and I’m in year 10) they mainly bullied me for my deafness (I’m 20% deaf) plus my Epilepsy (blocking their ears saying “look I’m like you, I can’t hear” plus flickering the lights thinking it would affect me when it doesn’t, I’ve even been tested. Plus told other awful things) and before I was told about your videos, I had some really bad thoughts. (I even wrote a song talking about how I need true friends before my life ends, because i was worried I’d die young because of my Epilepsy). When I showed my teachers, they sent me to the school council. He then showed me your videos, and they seriously changed my thoughts. I haven’t spoken about that song since. Thank you again for changing my life. I hope someday I can meet you 💜💜💜💜
