Yippee yours arrived! I've finally received my email that they are preparing my Brick Cross Train Station so I'm super excited. The same designer did the Chocolate set which I've ordered. I'm still thinking about ordering Harbour Master. I prefer paper instructions too.

Thank you, that's nice to hear. One thing I have noticed with my past few Lego deliveries is it seems Lego have stopped using extra packaging to stop sets getting damaged in transit, pretty annoying when a box arrives damaged, especially considering how much we are paying for these sets now

Maybe that's worldwide as in Australia my Santa's Post Office arrived with no paper inside and the box split at the back so some damage to the set but smaller sets and gwp fine.

@@caronmills8983 Interesting, definitely a change Lego have recently made, I used to to get the plastic airbag things but not had those for a long time. I get maybe its an environmental thing but the boxes need to be better fitting. I dread receiving the box hearing it rattling around inside😂

Few instruction errors on the brick cross. Nice build.. base very solid. Definitely well engineered.. little smaller when placed in city. Enjoy

Oh really, I will keep an eye out for the errors. Yeah definitely doesn't really have the height of standard modular but will hopefully work in my next Lego city🤞

@@TheDyslexicGeak I’ve tried it against a number of other modules and the scale look slightly off. I’m now considering leaving maybe 8 to 16 studs either side between the station and the other modules.. might consider a mod by raising the main portion of the building in height and even maybe by length.. feels like the x mansion dilemma. But still a great set.

@@RichardWhitehead-k7w Yeah the X-Mansion next to other modular buildings doesn't work all that well. When I eventually get it and build my Lego city again I will put it on its own, which is how the X-Mansion should be. Will be interesting to see what mods become available for the station

Yes I certainly will, though might be a good while before I attempt another Lego city, they take up so much space and my little Lego room isn't quite big enough, maybe in the next one🤞

@@jonnyfhicks1 That's my main point of complaint with all the Bricklink sets, no paper instructions. I really hope this is something Lego address in the future series

Received my Ominous Isle, Mushroom House & Ocean House today. They all look like they’ll be great builds. I got Ominous Isle to go with the two Barracuda Bay sets I have - I bought two so I could build both options. The Ocean House I thought was quite a nice unique set, I’m not so fond of the next one from that designer in series 4. And The Mushroom House will be great once we get the village from series 5. I think 5 will be the one where I may buy all 5, they all look fantastic. Series 4 not so much, I like the train and the steam boat, that’s about it. Maybe the Medieval Market, it’ll depend upon price.

You know I kinda regret not getting the Ocean House but I bought the Brick Cross which was a big chunk of my budget for series 2. Yeah series 5 looks insanely good, thankfully its a long way off before I have to start wondering how I will pay for them all😂

My mushroom house arrived last Friday and built it this weekend. Looks really great. Can’t wait to order the village from series 5 to go along with it.

Ordering 2 of the Brick Cross Train Station has been an absolute disaster for me in terms of them arriving undamaged. What is wrong with the warehouse in the USA compared to your experience? How is that you appear to have a custom box made perfectly for Brick Cross and I get them smashed together in box too small and then my replacements arrive in a huge box but both are damaged anyway. Its like someone decided to piss in my soup after I complained it was too cold and had it sent back into the kitchen.

Oh that's really disappointing, not sure why you didn't get similar boxes like I did, very poor. I have to say I too have noticed that the Lego sets are not as well packaged as they used to be. I have received a few sets this year that are just rattling around in a big box, they used to put in plastic bubble/air bag things but seem to have stopped that. I get why, they are trying to cut out using plastic but they really need to sort out better fitting boxes. Not great when spending a lot of money on sets that's for sure. Get in touch with customer services if I were you, they are usually very good and might offer you some Insider Points as an apology, you can only ask.

@@TheDyslexicGeak Thanks, I did ask them, that is why they sent me 2 more to replace my first damaged sets, except that the replacements they sent were damaged as well. I ended deciding to keep 1 from each shipment for now; not sure what to do going forward. Keep asking for replacements?

No further offers of attempting to send me a mint set. 2600 point offer for the record. or $20 discount vs just having them refund the entire order and me sending them all back. Pretty sure it would cost me a lot more to buy a Mint set on the market...sigh.
