I have a 97 Pontiac firebird 3.8 with a misfire that won’t go away I change spark plugs ignition coils spark plug wires but I can’t get rid of the misfire in cylinder six I pulled the spark plug and it looks almost black

Yea I used that trick on my old 94 Exploder. First the blower only worked on 1&4 so I changed the resistor, then a week or two later so had to run the bypass. Was an old trick I was taught early on in my career
