Well done for 4 years Thomas. I am now 20 years of sobriety, that started seeing my mum dying of liver cirrhosis. My dad died of the same 4 years ago. I have no regrets, sometimes get the urge for a drink, but don’t touch it. Feel night and day better not drinking alcohol.

@ that’s my issue. I like the taste of Guinness zero and lots of the other non alcoholic beers. But, I know that it has the potential to lead onto the real thing again in my case. I abstain from the zero % too now.

Great video Thomas! Congratulations on your sobriety! As a cyclist having a beer after or during a ride is sometimes part of the culture. I only drink one beer on those occasions, and very little beer during any other time. You made me realize how lucky I am not to ever have had a dependency on alcohol. Hope you have a great 2025! 👏❤❤

I've definitely been one of those that had been watching ur videos and not subscribing, but after hearing about ur sobriety, I knew that I really needed to help out ur channel. Was also very happy to see that u had been riding around Sintra as I had visited Portugal(Porto, Sintra, and Lisbon) with my son this last October and loved it(I'm a cyclist in CA). Will have to check out ur favorite bakery and maybe even try to find time to rent a bike and go for a ride around the area. Keep up the great work! Kudos from Northern California and have a great NY. Hoping to see future videos not just of fast group rides, but more scenic areas in EU to ride around.

Just over 1 year for me. Like you it’s the best decision I ever made. I found cycling 6 months ago and now I own 4 bikes and my cupboard is full of Lycra 😂 People tell me I must have saved a lot of money from quitting alcohol and I said it’s quite the opposite haha. Love from Australia 🇦🇺

Start with "queques" in Ericeira and finish in Lisbon with a tasty pastel de Belém. Let's see how many more pastries you can get in between. We're waiting...😂

awesome, congratulations your crushing it keel the cycling and sobriety going for another decade. I was thinking about the levels again 10 years ago I played an a pretty good amature national tournament paintball team. we used to scriamge woth 2 pro teams 2 weekends a year i bet we played 500 games with those guys and I think we beat each team once in that time and actaully gave them a challange less than 10% of the time. its just diffarent.😂
