Thank you for sharing. I have cirrhosis. I appreciate you taking time and pushing out of your comfort zone. I don't trust my doctor. He treats us like cattle. I can't call and expect to hear back from them. I don't think there is another practice nearby. I've kind of given up. I had an EGD and CT scan and the doctor then ordered a slew of tests and another EGD. I am alone. I can't afford all these tests etc. Thanks for just being there. I will be praying for you, dear lady.

I am so sorry that you are having a bad experience with your doctor. Yes all the test does get expensive. Thank you for watching

I appreciate your videos. I found out in February at 40 years old that I have cirrhosis due to fatty liver/NASH. I totally agree with your older video on what I wish people were told when newly diagnosed--it's not a death sentence. I don't know yet if I'll be referred for transplant but life goes on--the ups, downs, good days, struggles, etc. I will be praying for your daughter!

@@joycedistler4332 For me, I am now listed for transplant at two hospitals, but my MELD has fallen from a high of 26 or 27 back in August to a 17 now as of February 2023. So I'm in for a long wait, but still feel pretty good. Trying to find a living donor right now.

Hi ma'am , my mom is also a patient of liver cirrhosis, we discovered it 2 year back , the doctor's could not find the cause of the cirrhosis so they are calling it as cryptogenic cirrhosis. I feel so hopeless every day as there is no such medicines that can help my mom recover. In a recent blood work it shows huge spleenomology and low platelets, low WBC , liver is at stage B cirrhosis. I just wanted to know what medicine are you taking to slow the progression? This will be very helpful for me to cross check the medicine my mom takes. So since last 2 year doctor here suggested to take Ursodeoxicolic acid 300 mg to slow the progression , Nussam 400 to protect liver cell damage and beata blocker for portal hypertension. Could you please share yours? Just wanted to know what doctor prescribes in US for NASH cirrhosis..

Sorry I am just now seeing this. My doctors don’t want to give medicine unless absolutely needed. I can’t take Beta Blockers because I have low blood pressure, so we just keep track of the Varices. The only medication that I take is Zofran for nausea (as needed), Vitamin D (mine was low) and vitamin E to help with the scarring of the liver. I also drink low sodium v8 for the potassium. That’s it… I am sorry to hear about your mom’s diagnosis of Cirrhosis and I hope my videos have given you some hope. 🙂

@@MelindaDavis I used to trust my dr of 30 years, but, I’ve realized how either ignorant or corrupt she is. I’m 64. Free of meds and no vaccine. No thanks to her.

Im 40 years old and recently diagnosed with stage 4. Due to alcohol. I haven't drank in 8 months. Lost 100 pds but im putting a bit back on. I have about 60 more pds to go. Meld score 7. Im waiting for the date of my first scope. Suoer nervous about that. Ive never had a procedure that requires anesthesia. What is your meld score?

My hubby has cirrhosis’ He quit drinking alcohol and is now into Eating Right and eating and drinking all things fermented. He is on 0 meds.

@@davidcantu6760 I think my hubby is stage 3. Can’t remember why I think that. I hope u can find a dr to help you. We need one too. If the dr only wants to medicate you and doesn’t think everything you put in your body is important to the good and your determinant then they are no good for you. Research fasting. Research Cirhossis of the liver. Good luck David

Hello again. Are you a candidate for the TIPS procedure to help with the varices?

I’m not sick enough for that procedure. I have only had to have Varices banded twice and I have never had ascites

@@MelindaDavis that's interesting. I've never had varices but do have ascites. I was told today I was going to get the tips soon. I hope it's the right call.
