I wish I could tell you the struggles I had with my son. He was born with a hole in his heart. He struggled for the first 5 years of his life. All the while, hardly sleeping, his little brain never wanting to shut down so he could sleep. When they finally found medicine that would calm him down, I was literally exhausted from all the hospital stays and him never sleeping. He struggled with discipline until he was around 12 and all those sleepless nights, him tearing the house apart and him constantly doing things to hurt himself, he suddenly changed and that was when I took my first deep breath. He's 27 years old now and I couldn't love anything more. What a beautiful song!

One daughter, three sons, all grown adults now, making their own roots in life, making their own families and living their best lives,…but, I still hold them all in my heart as “my babies”. Giving us beautiful grandchildren,…ages now “22; 20; 6; 4; and 21 months”. When I look at our grandchildren, my mind goes back in time when our children were little ones,..and all of the business, all of the laughter, the chaos, all of the noise and everything. I miss those past years terribly, but I also love the “circle of life that we’ve created” and the same that our children are now creating. I will say one thing that I’ve always remember my elders in life say in their own lives,..and, that is “life goes by so quickly-or-life is short”,..and it’s so true! Love your children, enjoy and cherish every day with them, don’t sweat through the small things in life,..just embrace life itself, because before you know it, “time seems to warp through a speed of light” and those years have passed!
