+Dreamer Dawn The baby won't be born an alicorn. It's something only one of the main princesses (Celestia or Luna) can give it. The only ones born alicorns are Celestia and Luna according to the creator. The foal will have to be a unicorn or pegasis.

These kind of episodes are refreshing because as of recently, the show has tried to send our ponies to new locations, interact with amazing creature, or deal with moral dilemmas. All the things which have made the show more amazing to me. However, it's nice to go back to zany, slice of life antics every once in a while and remember the simpler times where the fandom could make anything out of nothing.

I love how they very subtly put Derpy and Dinky with each other. It's at 1:04 in here. It goes by really fast, but if you look it's totally there. I won't say this is absolute proof, because as far as I know, Dinky being Derpy's daughter, was based on nothing (as were many of Derpy's personality traits), but it's a very subtle yet nice nod to the fans.

Horse pregnancies are 11 months. If seasons 1 - 4 were only one year, we should be seeing the foal born late season 8. That's unless of course you are counting "moons" as months, in which case it could be born by the end of the season.

All of these are canon, so awesome!! I think it was immaculate conception though. Yeah. I really liked Shining Armour in this episode seeing a more personal side and more of his bond with Twilight. I agree the humour was awesome, it was also really cute. Loved the Family Guy reference. I also do really hope this well help further develop Cadence character so that like with Diamond Tiara fans will no longer find her too simple.

This episode may have worked out better if instead of 1 single episode, it was 2 10-minute Half-isodes, I mean this episode was filled with so much filler that it was just ridiculous, if they took out all of the scenes that felt pointless, and kept only the most important stuff, then they may have had enough time to squeeze in a 2nd story about something completely different, like for example a remake of the G1 MLP story "Ice Cream Wars" featuring a team-up of Spike & the CMC, point is that this 1 episode could have featured 2 different shorter stories, stories that could then be used to fill in leftover time after a movie on Discovery Family here in America.

I liked this episode. The only problem I had with it was that fact that they told the secret openly at the beginning. I think it would have been better if we were like the mane six, and got to figure it out for ourselves. Don't tell me you wouldn't get those feels when we found out the secret at the ending instead of having it told at the beginning.

The whole time up to Shining Armor and Candace entering the castle I thought Twilight knew about them having baby and was going to laugh at Pinkie saying she knew. Since she thought Pinkie was acting weird(who wouldn't) and her filling up her brother's room with his baby stuff. I was apparently wrong :v
