I have one and I love it. It doesn’t give me this problem. In fact it was a life saver when my friends and I went to a destination wedding. All their dresses were wrinkled and the hotel iron was not working. I loved it!

I bought my steamer from QVC and it works great I use it for my reselling business. You have to fill the steamer on the line or just below it in order for them to work properly, the problem is people don't read or follow directions .
@ittybittypolkadot4 жыл бұрын
Yes. Mine worked fine, but only for about a year. Mine now cuts on and of randomly and stops producing steam, taking a while to get back up to temperature. Boo. Do not buy.

Hmmm I have this, and it has never done this. For anyone watching this, it is not a good representation of the product. Also - you are supposed to put the lid on BEFORE turning it on. I don't know if that would cause this problem. I also don't understand the note that says it takes two minutes to actually warm up when you can clearly see it is much shorter than that? Mine takes 20 seconds. Just saying - not a fair representation of the product, I have three boys to keep up with here and I love it!

I bought mine about 3 or 4 years ago and I loved it but last week out of nowhere it started throwing out alot more water than this one. It was a very scary situation because I was just about to put my hand on the handle when all this boiling water almost burned my hand. I tried it again a couple days later and the same thing happened so I just threw it away. I bought mine from HSN and was looking to replace it but I saw alot of reviews from different stores that are saying that this happened to them too. I am very dissapointed because I really loved mine.

Purchased my steamer from QVC and I use it in my reselling business and I haven't had any issues at all. The problem is people don't read and follow the directions to make sure they know how to use it, there en-lies the problem.
@RDYoung10264 жыл бұрын
I had my first one 5 years ago and never had any issues until it would turn off on its own after 3 years. That was my sign that it's time for a new one. I got a new Mini and also a regular JOY My little Steamer...since then and have had no issues. I think he got a defective product, I would return.

Hi. I enjoyed mine until the water corrosion rendered it useless. Not sure if I should have used distilled water but I will with the next sream unit I buy. I will also see if the one I have can be remedied. I hope you exchanged yours and was able to enjoy the new unit.😉

...got one about a 1.5 years ago - used it twice. Leaks water out of the bottom and the steam end. Made a terrible hot mess. I looked up known issues and discovered a class action lawsuit related to this product (the lawsuit is actually against a company that was selling it while knowing it was defective). I don't know if the claim was proven, or what happened, I just threw it away - total waste of money.

You overfilled it!
@AverageMe2 жыл бұрын
Good guess (at first I thought that as well), but I followed the directions precisely (you can see in the video it is at the indicated line, not over) and even tried it at different fill levels (I mention that at 4:21 in the video). I didn't record all that because I thought it would make rather boring video.

Rachel Kline - it always did that regardless of the water level. Tap water, distilled, didn’t seem to make a difference. Apparently others have had this issue as well, since a TV news channel contacted me and requested to use my footage since they have been getting complaints about this.

Defective. I bought one and it spews not matter how much water I put in. I even tried cleaning it out. Not sure if there is a way to fix it?
@AverageMe3 жыл бұрын
I'd try different waters, because mineral content does impact electrical conductivity. So maybe try distilled, tap water, adding salt, etc. But my demo was using tap water because that was what the instructions said to do.

Mine doesnt spurt but it stops steaming every two minutes or so-- takes about a minute to start steaming again. Does anyone else's do this?
@staceya11376 жыл бұрын
Yes! Mine just started turning off and reheating every min. or so...and it keeps getting worse. I'm sure it will die completely very soon. I bought it 5 months ago and use it every day....but I'm going to purchase the larger deluxe size and hope for the best. I only notice water issues (spurting) when I overfill.

I really think it depends upon the mineral content of the water in your area. The instructions say tapwater.
