My Loader Wasn’t Working. It’s time for a RADICAL solution! Fixing my John Deere 1050

I thought (hoped) that I had fixed my hydraulic issues with my Front End Loader when I changed my canister filter, drained the fluid, cleaned the screen filter and put all new hydraulic fluid in the tractor. It was done once when the tractor had the clutch changed, and then I did it two times. It worked for approximately 30 minutes great. Then, after that it stopped working again.
It’s time to do something radical. H/T to / @steeveedan who did this type of repair with success also.

I just aquired an 86 1050 4wd with loader. My hydraulics don't work until it warms up...still not great though. I need to fix a leak at the quick disconnect fittings on the loader valve, but I intend on checking and cleaning the screen and replacing the filter. Once I have the new filter I might try coring out the old filter. Your new, fast hydraulics look awesome!

Well… it’s the factory filter… but it’s not the ORIGINAL filter, they changed them from the original at some point. Also, I think the JD20 Hydraulic Fluid is different even though it’s “compatible”.

They’ve been really solid tires. Durable, good traction. I won’t lie, they tear up the yard pretty easily, but out in the field they are great.

@TheModernHomestead I appreciate the reply man, we're allso dam busy pushing as hard as we can to make this summer count on so many fronts. That's why I asked on 2 different videos, I'm pressed for time and need my 1050 to break ground and dig out for my garage foundation big porch then regrade...all the while collecting logs to keep us warming winter. Then next year rip up the old driveway and lay a new one lol Good thing we have 1050's as we use them to every extent, furthest thing from a pavement princess as many tractors are. I'd love to run the OEM short bar long bar firestone 23° tires that came on her 36 yrs ago bit loosing too much air. After all these years I am 100% sold on the 23° tread, I just read bad reviews of guys with the sat2 complaining, but it seems almost all with the bias ply sat2 genuinely love them, so long as they're not stuck running roads as they're noteant for pavement, they're built for you and I in the woods/fields. I assume good winter traction?

@@johnserrano9689winter traction is good. I’ve had zero complaints. I’m no expert though. I just use the tractor for everything I do! lol
