My loader just basically stopped. My fluid looked ok, but let’s see if that’s really true!

There's a couple other bolts which needed to be removed to take as much fluid as possible. Excellent job though I must say you got your ass down there, took your own tools out and dug into the ole whore yourself 👍🇺🇸 They're old, temperamental at times yet bulletproof and more than enough to take care of 99% of your needs, no not our wives, rather our 1050s haha Mines an 88 model. Replacing my fluid again real soon. Almost all "goopy gunk" is the fluid doing its job and contained the moisture. Fluid gets really hot, then cold which pulls moisture from anywhere possible very effective, and a lot including mine sits outside so what do you expect. These old rigs are actually gaining in popularity once again as they were built with the highest quality, excellent power and capacity, massive clearance and angles, all the while built with the idea the OWNER should be able to replace/rebuild the entire rig himself with a socket set and wrenches, todays rigs are great they're just not built the same. I assume your 1050 will someday be your son's, much like I plan on for my own son. We shall hand them down peppy max size frame "compacts" which were supposed John Deeres most reliable tractors EVER (they rate it by warrant work/cost tho I do not know first hand and I could give a fck) Best of luck with the reliable old girl, keep those videos flowin

I changed oil (non-JD) fluid. Now my loader won't raise.
