My Long and Honest Review of Viori: Hidden Waterfall Scented Bars

Your best advice was finding out your hair type. Not all hair types take the protein from the rice they use very well. There is a thing as too much of a good thing. Balance is key. A few hair dresser friends of mine, 10 years back, advised a good sgampoo with biotin for hair growth with a warning: only wash once a week or every two weeks with a good biotin shampoo, because if you wash everyday with biotin it can damage the hair. The gals that are having clumps of gair falling out are probably over washing and experiencing protein overload. Protein overload can cause the hair to become dry and brittle, thus breaking and falling out in clumps. That would be my guess, if i had to take a stab at it with some educated hairdresser friends that are all too happy to answer questions and concerns i throw at them. ^.^ personally, i have been using Viori for 2 months now, and 3 times a week i also do a rice water hair rinse in between washes, along with twice a month a coconut oil or olive oil hair mask. No heat, air dry, proper drying techniques and protective hair styles have truly been a life saver for my hair as well, particularly in the Winter. Lol not Kansas, but Indiana here so i feep the dry, moisture wicking winters and the super humid and hot summers struggle for sure. My hair always shows the damage first. After finding the best care routine for my hair, i have noticed a HUGE difference. Viori will definitely be a long time use for myself and my family, particularly my daughter. She is 6 years old now and she loves our mom/daughter hair care "Rapunzel" days. I have noticed that her hair seems much happier and healthier when we switched her to Viori as well as another good herbal shampoo bar that my two boys and husband use and got away from traditional kids shampoos. *nodnod* her hair is also LESS likely to tangle and snarl up and is much easier to manage, which makes it nice for dad to brish her hair out with less frustration for him. 😂

It is useful info that not many realize, because when you're trying to find that "right routine" you may not know about it, or have so many other possible factors that it goes unchecked. Also, from the reviews on amazon about hair falling out, knowing ingrideients and what makes them effective (such as the rice in the Viori shampoo bars, primarily due to their good proteins) is something most dont look into it(😂 i have been guilty of it myself numerous times in my younger years. 😂) Yes ma'am, we Miswest gals know the "Winter dry-balm effect" all too well ^.^

Conditioner made my hair fall off and break off

@@Veronica-ojoy could be the ingredients in the conditioner didn't work well with the ingredients in your other products. hair is sensitive, and a common bonding agent is alcohol, which can dry hair out if you have many products with alcohol as well. Try finding a shampoo with no alcohol, or try doing a once a week overnight hair mask, like coconut oil, almond oil or virgin olive oil. It is hard to pinpoint WHAT EXACT product is causing the damage, because it could be MULTIPLE products with different ingredients that don't get along. *Shrugs* start limiting your product use and really looking into the ingredients. Seems a bit excessive, however, it will be worth it in the long run to find products that work with your hair to achieve your hair goals. ALSO, everyone's hair is unique so what works for others will definitely not work for you, and what works for you won't work for others. If the conditioner didn't work for you, then don't use it...? Doesn't mean it won't work for someone else. And it may not have worked for you because of other products you are using that "overloaded" your hair..... Just my humble anecdotal opinion based on personal experience and observation of myself and a small group of my friends with various hair types.

I use the shampoo & conditioner bars from Viori, and I found out by accident that when I wash my hair with cold water made a huge difference in how my hair looked compared to when I would wash my hair with hot water. When I used the hot water my hair would come out brittle, dry and dull looking. One day our water heater went out and I had to shower in cold water and my hair looked SO Amazingly shiny & soft no fly aways and when I just combed it once to get the tangles out and left it alone without any brushing my hair had sooo much body & curl.

This is the best advice I've seen about using this so far. It's only the second time I washed my hair, but both times it was way too oily after the second day. I live in Florida so it's pretty humid most of the year and frizzes up a lot. I guess the shirt thing is what helped it the first time and didn't frizz up. This second time I didn't do the shirt and it's super frizzy. I will stay away from the roots with the conditioner and I usually don't blow-dry it. Maybe the cool button and that's all.

I have been using viori for 4 months and it has changed my hair drastically. I did make the mistake of ordering the wrong sent (waterfall) because the is for normal hair and it left my hair super oily but then I switched to citrus sent (I naturally have oily hair) and that solved the issue! I also stopped using the hair dryer and I have seen amazing changes and had many compliments about my hair. Now I have my 6 and 3 year old use it as well! Hair towel turbans are also a must for us!

This is so good to hear!! I'm glad that you found a bar that's good for your hair type after a switch! I swear, my hair has done a total bounce back with Viori and cutting out the heat. I started out with the citrus scent and loooooved it so much. Even my husband used it. Then I got a bar of limited edition from my mom and hated it. It ruined my hair. Then I switched to shampoo and have had nothing but issues. I’m going back to the citrus viori bar and hopefully I can get the good results back!

I have coils and super curl hair. I used this product 2 times. Changed my leave in to a no 5 and my hair bounced back from dry and fizz to full and bouncy. 1000 % recommend. I don’t wash every day cuz my hair type but it worked for me.

Please keep doing videos like this! Also, I wonder if it would be beneficial to try the curly girl method! Or something similar. It advocates for sulfate and Paraben free, heat free, using microfiber or tshirt material to dry your hair. If you do so, please do some videos on that!

Hey there! Use the Shampoo on your scalp and ends, only use the conditioner mid-hair (not on scalp, starting at the neck) and through the ends. Hope this helps 😁!

Viori felt amazing during the first 2 weeks and then it turned into a nightmare. I had crazy hair fall and buildup. My hair was SO oily. And 2 things: 1- I do use clarifying shampoo once a week 2 - I chose the right type for my hair. This whole thing really scared me. I found it very suspicious that absolutely ALL of the reviews on their website are 5 stars and then I learned that they delete the bad ones. Also think it doesn't sound very fair that they only give 5% to the red yao tribe women, especially considering how expensive it is.

I really like your video compared to all the other thousand of videos I watched on here about hair care and to me, yours was number 1 because I also live in Kansas. I moved up from Oklahoma and the water here does seem a bit harsher than where I lived in Oklahoma. however, I decided to try these bars out because I notice my hair was thinning. I wanted to ask is in the time you used the bars, have you noticed any new thickness to your hair? The first day I used the bars I noticed I lost a lot of hair which I haven't experienced since I switched to using OGX Biotin & Collagen Extra Strength Shampoo which seems to help my hair. On the first day, I used the Virori Bars I lost of lot of hair, on the 2nd day I did not lose as much, I lost like 7 strands compare to the 1st use. I had ordered the Citrus Bars because I have naturally Oily hair and what sucks is I have to wash my hair every day because my hair is so freaking oily and I hate it because it starts to have a funk if I don't wash it and I do not know about anybody else but I do not like to smell bad in any kind of way. I love to be clean every day. after the 2nd day of using the bars, I decided to go a day without washing my hair and when I washed my hair on the 4th day and used the bars again, again I lost a lot of hair, it had me actually crying in the shower. So what I wanted to ask, is do you think I should keep from rubbing the bars on my actual scalp and just get it enough latter and then work towards my scalp?

Hi there!! I'm currently working on my next video dealing with the shampoo bars; I have completely stopped using them and have switched to a personalized shampoo, right now I'm testing out Function or Beauty and Vegamour and I can tell you that Vegamour is great for hair loss with what I have seen. I also do a cleanse with an Apple Cider Vinager shampoo once a week to help with oiliness and buildup. I hope this helps a little bit!

The directions on their website say the condition bar is rubbed on your hair directly not in your hands. Also I think you got bad advice being told to leave some conditioner in your hair. NO NO! It will weigh it down and attract dirt and maybe even dry it out. Does the back of conditioner bottles say leave some in? NOPE. Their are leave in conditioners that won't weight it down or attract dirt. JMO. Anyway thanks for the review of the bars I just got mine today.

I just started noticing hair loss using this shampoo and conditioner, I stopped using once I realized it was affecting my hair like this. I’m honestly worried it’s going to permanently damage my hair. I have never had hair loss and I haven’t been using any new hair products. I brought the floral shampoo and conditioner bar around four weeks ago and in that time it has thinned and broken so much of my hair off I am horrified by this I wish I could show pictures on KZbin but I can’t my hair Was left dye and bridle I lost so much thickness to my hair and it looks fried I use zero heating tools on my hair I let it air dry I just wash my hair every 3 days and I’m so distraught about my hair I worked so hard for it to get long these last two years and finally have it to where it’s a few inches flowing off my shoulders I’m so upset about this if you have straight/somewhat wavy hair or like your hair please don’t buy this product :(

Just hopped out of the shower after trying these. ZERO stars. I lathered and lathered their were only 3 bubbles in my hands. Tried again and again to work a lather in my hands. NO LUCK. Finally gave up and ran the shampoo bar through my hair. Got a little later but not enough for a good clean. Rinsed, repeated. Ran the conditioner over my lengths only. Washed it all out (by then my shower water was COLD this is how long I tried to get a lather with the soap!). My hair still felt dirty. YUK. I had to grab my other shampoo in a non-earth friendly bottle to FINALLY get clean hair as I stood in freezing cold water. NOT HAPPY. Put this stuff in a normal bottle and I'll buy it. If I hadn't grabbed my normal shampoo my hair would look like I was wearing a dead cat on my head. Earth friendly should also be user friendly. If you have HARD water good luck trying to get suds!!!

@@aubrefouch6634 I don't use the same wash cloth for my face as I do for my body. I do use an exfoliating tool in the shower and use fresh, clean wash cloths everyday. I am probably cleaner and more hygienic than you are. And I only made the comment about her hair being dull because it looks like it is reacting to the rice protein. Too much protein in hair products can have the opposite effect - it can cause dryness and dullness over time in some hair types.
