Selecting multiexposure option in mi nikon, 10 exposures, 20 seconds everyone. Total 200 seconds. Anyway do you use multiexposure option in your nikon or you think it is better a single exposure and more time?. Thanks for your videos. Great channel. Regards from Madrid.

Thank you for showing these little glimpses of Italy from your eyes. It is fascinating to see places without the tourist blurb! I cannot wait for your next long exposure class. I am looking at doing long exposure nature photography as well as long exposure (stacked) astro photography. You are an inspiration, I have even (just today) put some photos in our local Australian town show competition for the first time!!!!

Attilo, I just found your channel and ironically it's after I visited Italy for the first time in my life this past summer. Although I flew into Milan, I didn't visit there long enough to see the Duomo, much, after seeing this video, to my major disappointment. I've been a hobbyist my entire adult life but have never done long exposure photography. You are an inspiration sir, and I plan to learn much more from you and place my attention on how I too can master the art of long exposure photography. Than you.

Thanks for sharing, I took multiple shots at 156 second exposure at Hvítserkur sea stack in Northern Iceland last year. It gave a nice wash-out of both the water (around the stones sticking out at the shoreline) and also the clouds in the sky. As I had no people, I didn't want to push the exposure further. I'll have a go when my camera gets back from repairs...

Beautiful photos, a great history lesson and a good laugh! So it is ok to talk to your camera in the US, but a little crazy in Italy, Lol! Actually I like it when people in Italy come up to me and ask about my camera etc. Since my Italian is not so good yet, we have a mixture of English and Italian conversation, the people here are so friendly.

Did exactly the same shot and exactly the same location. Went for an eight minutes exposure after sunset. What a beautiful sight. :-) Guess my longest exposure so far is around that eight minutes. In nature you wouldn't need to unless you want the sky and the could to go creazy. However, with all those people on the square this is a good exposure time to start with. Ciao Attilio.

Biggest church. St Peter's (Vatican) has markings on its floor in the main path where other basilica would end. You would read St. Paul's (London) or Notre Dame (Paris) somewhere in the corridor. And other famous basilica. Once upon a time there was the cathedral of Cluny. Its size marking should be on the square outside St Peter's as it was about 50% larger. Vanitas vanitatum omnia vanitas.

Another great video Attilio, Gee it cam become rather challenging/annoying when people purposely stand in the frame of long exposure images that you are trying to capture. However seeing as we all take these images in public places we need to understand that they have just as much right to be there as we do. It is so great to see you back making regular content. Duomo of all places! This is daring Attilio :) I admire your determination and your skill. I loved the super long exposure, it made the place look so unreal, well, like we saw it last year on tv, but better, with you explaining and talking about long exposure. I also love the last shot, the shades of the statues on the front above the gate give it a three dimensional look. Looking forward to seeing you out in nature again. Stay safe! ciao!

Thank you so much for your fantastic/very informative lessons which are truly inspiring me. Keep up the good work as I can now see how much more I should have put into my shots of Milan several years ago.

Really enjoying this series. Main take away for me so far is to allow extra time over the table calculations according to the strength (fade) of the light. Look forward to long exposure course.

I really like these long exposure photos. I’ve been shooting with the new Nikon Z7 II, and it has a great feature that supports really long exposures. You can shoot exposures longer than 30 seconds without using “Timer” or “Bulb” together with an intervelometer, and choose shutter speeds as long as 15 minutes!

Absolutely brilliant experiment Attilio! I have to say I’ve actually been going through every single one of your other videos again recently since you’ve been back - Thursday has become my favourite time of the week again - truly inspiring, truly brilliant and your passion shines through each and every one of your videos. P.s thanks for the tip on the website builder - I’d just signed up for square space so I may need to reconsider if there’s a cheaper option now available! 🤣

I guess the only way to erase people between the camera and the Duomo was with this huge long exposure, molto grazie.

Cool video Attilio! I enjoyed seeing this project. The Duomo church is magnficent. I would love to see if you could show long-exposure images inside Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II too!
