Instead of water , all one can see is fluffy cotton candy…you are really a cotton candy photographer. You call that nature? Art? It’s cotton candy. Shit.

Ah, it's for photography. I thought this was for video. I can't decide between a 4-stop or 5-stop as my first/only filter solution for video, particularly regarding action cameras, which cannot change their aperture.

Wow Attilio watching your videos always inspires me. This video especially touches on a subject which to me is difficult to grasp and that is what is right. the answer is always both or maybee neither. Photography is truely an art and art is in the creater so to speak. I struggle like you because i like most people gravitate towards images that are really saturated and pop with color and contrast but as an architect I also value authenticity in the image. Both images are spectacular but you had a great subject to start with. I think i like the second edit a bit more. Please continue and be well and continue to inspire the rest of us.

Seems to make the case that a 10 stop filter is overkill (which I think it is for this)

Can’t believe this was 3 years ago, thought it was new, but well worth the watch. However I can never find the ND calculator apps on the Play Store! Surely there not all for Apple?

It is so good to see you back Attilio. You are not alone in this. I have been going thru a lot of personal struggles over the past 4 -5 years. I have also recently, like a week ago, just lost my job of almost 28 years. I haven’t been wanting to get out to shoot but the few times I have forced myself to get to shoot, I ended up not shooting at all. Nothing looked good to me. I have also contemplated selling all of my gear and just getting completely out of photography. I have been shooting off and on for 40 years, so to think about getting completely out is not like me at all. Photography is my release and stress relief. But it doesn’t do for me now what it used to. I started doing my long exposure because of you and your videos. So seeing you come back gives me a little hope that I too might find that inspiration again.

Attilio just found your video as I am heading there in February. Thanks so much for sharing some of your iconic locations and most importantly providing some insight to making images your own including some settings. You're set the backdrop but as I say "Never stand in another mans shoes" and go the road less traveled. Thanks so much for your inspiration. Can't wait for next year.

Thanks for the revisit to your older edits. That is quite the contrast between now and 10 years ago on the image - the new one looks so much more refined. I find myself doing this quite often with older images - especially as LR/PS keeps advancing and the tools get better. I also love your new studio - quite a change from California! Take care.

Amazing image. Thank you for this video. I have a question, do I always need an ND filter to do a long exposure seascape? I tried doing it without a filter and all I got is just a white photo 😅

Thanks Attilio, As others have said, the original edit was very striking and beautiful, but the subtle grace in your modern edit captures a more realist and serene record of what you witnessed whilst taking the shot. Bravo.

Hi Attilio, when I edit my raw files , one or two days after the shooting, in my mind I still have a memory of the scene, and try to edit as real as possibile, it’s my way. But I agree with you, after years the memories do not beat creativity. I like both photos.
