Can a scratch be polished out of the table of a stone? For example, a synthetic ruby or the Tanzanite that you have that has a scratch? How do you determine if it’s worth it to polish a scratch out if possible? Is it a percentage of the value increase? What is the approximate cost range of polishing out a scratch on a stone like a synthetic ruby or the Tanzanite stone that you have in your ring?❤

My favorite ring (of course!) is your last prize piece, a beautiful stone and also ring. Of the rings in the tray I like the setting of the simple one with no diamonds. I think a beautiful stone can stand alone. But I love the stones of the last two in the tray, so much color movement. I would love to see the square one in a non diamond setting. My birthstone is sapphire, and I have tried to like them, but ones I have seen are too dark. To my mind tanzanite is the perfect blue for me. I have a small I mean tiny compared to your stones! pendant, and I used to have small studs, now I have one. That’s the trouble with post type pierced earrings gs. I would love to look for a ring so I could see it all the time and I wouldn’t lose it! Maybe it is in my future! Thanks again Jason, you and your collection, your heart and your human words are very special!

Hi Jason! Happy December! What a treat to see a video from you about one of my top 3 all time favourite gemstones!!! (As a December baby, Tanzanite, Blue Topaz and Blue Zircon are not only special because they've been assigned to my month by the jewelry industry, but also because blue is my favourite colour! Very lucky to have a fave colour that's my birthstone color, right?!) These are all absolutely stunning! I especially love the stones with a purplish hue, and learned something new from you today - that these aren't considered the highest end Tanzanites. How funny! (And lucky for me, if I ever get a budget to go buy some, that my choice wouldn't be the priciest.) Though of the pieces you've shown, my fave probably IS one of the priciest - that jaw-dropping ring at 24:24 is to die for. (Edited after watching further: yep, you said it's the priciest of the bunch, haha... leave it to me to pick the most expensive. And my goodness, I would LOVE to find a platinum and Tanzanite ring thrifting!) So much love to you and thanks for all the eye-candy videos! ❤❤❤❤❤

Hello, I am very new to your channel and am impressed. I love Tanzanite too. I have a 10ct purpleish tanzanite, pink stones and yellow stones. I also have bicolored( blue and green). I love gemstones of all types. I have a 1.89ct Russian Alexandrite that an elderly patient gave me. He was from Russia and had no family in Northern WV. He had never married and had no children and had stage 4 cancer. He and I bonded over gems. He told me that his mother had given him a stone and told him to never loose it. He asked me to pull his coat out of the closet and pulled a ball of tissues out. I had his trash can ready as I didn't know what was coming. He opened the tissues up and there was a beautiful oval stone. It is a tealish green and in candlelight, it turns a raspberry red. He gave it to me to keep because he knew he wasn't getting out of the hospital and wanted me to safegaurd it for my lifetime. He passed away a few days later and that was 35 years ago. I still have that beautiful stone in a case in my safe. It still isn't set as I haven't found a jeweler that can set it without sending it out. I am afraid it will never come back and I could never live with that. Since it was gift to me, I have left that hospital and married, moved to Pittsburgh , had children and an now in Cincinnati.

I love all these tanzanite rings, but especially the two simplest, the first and the last you showed. I believe I've already seen a tanzanite ring in a consignment store, about a year ago, listed as a blue topaz, probably because that's what the consignor thought. I've regretted not buying it, but I was less confident then and not as willing to spend the money as I am now. One question: is tanzanite being lab created? Thank you for being so generous with your collection and your knowledge!

New to your channel...as soon as I saw that blue zircon specimen hit the table I knew I was in. Being on a tight budget I stay on the lookout for a nice vintage piece that might have been mislabeled as topaz or aqua, which I do see quite often. However, the issue I find with a lot of older stones is the loss of those crisp clean facets or chips due to its delicate nature. Thanks for sharing your lovely loose stone. It's absolutely fabulous.

Do your best and that's good enough for everyone. Your comment made me smile. That's what I always told my special needs students. How dare anyone ask for more than your very best❤

So I have a significant ring with tanzanite...what do you do about surface scratches on the stone table? Can it be polished? I wore this ring on the regular so that is what happened. For me, if I bought again, I would go for a pendant. In July I sold lots of 14k jewelry and held this back. The buyer put my jewelry into his retail in🎉ventory, so I am happy I didn't sell it for scrap. Bought it in Jamaica 25 years ago.

Hi Kim. The stone would need to be assessed. As to polishing faceted stones they must be removed from the settings to be polished correctly but yes, it can be done! 💜💎💜💎💜

Thanks Jason, that was my thought and I probably wouldn't want to invest anymore $$$ in this ring. When I purchased it I was told it wasn't an everyday ring. Loved it so much I wore it a lot. Oh well.

The 12.7 carat cushion shape Tanzanite ring was my favorite. But the spectacular piece was the mens ring.

You have such exquisite taste! I'm so glad you noticed the men's ring. That piece is truly something else!
