Went from a Series 4 to an Ultra 2 a few months ago. One of the best purchases I've ever made. Incredible watch and especially great for running. Literally the only time I take it off is to shower and to charge it.

I went from the series 4 to an Ultra 1 when it came out. It was night and day difference. I still love my Ultra 1. The battery has gone down some because I work out every day with it, and I also run the newest Betas when they come out. I still can go two days without charging. I do not use it for sleep tracking though.

I was testing the battery since last Saturday. It lasted for 48h (I stopped at 10%) with always on display and no low battery mode. And lasted for 72 hours (I stopped at 7%) without always on display and without low battery mode. I was walking a lot, listening to some music directly from the watch, sleeping with it on, so pretty much every day use. I upgraded from series 8, mainly to get better battery life and cleaner look. After a week I am really satisfied with it.

I also got the black Ultra2 with black milanese loop and did not expect to fall so in love with the watch! It is my first Ultra and I was surprised to discover how much more capable it is than a regular Apple Watch. This black titanium finish and the strap are simply beautiful. I love the fact that the black color makes it look less bulky than the natural colored version.

I have the U2 in black. Second day wearing it I somehow smacked my arm into a brick wall that was painted with white. I saw some marks on the front sharp edge in white and thought that I had definitely scratched through the black. Crazily enough I hadn’t scratched through the black. I rubbed it a bit with my finger and the white, which seemed to be the paint from the brick wall, went away and now you would never know the difference. so far so good.

Went from a Series 8 to the Ultra 2 Satin Black with the Milanese loop. I love it. The best decision I ever made. Like most, the only time I take it off is to shower and charge.

Upgraded to the Ultra 2 in black from a Series 4 and WOW. I don't actually know how to handle the battery life and find myself only charging while I'm in the shower to then wear all night and all day, with PLENTY of battery left. It's kind of scary how long it lasts but it's such a nice change from the Series 4 and I'm so happy with my purchase!

I use the Double Tap gesture a lot with the Medications app. When it pings to tell me it's time to take my medication, I can double tap and it will mark the medication as taken. I also use it with Messages to launch dictate, this is really useful if I am wearing gloves during the colder months.

What a coincidence, bro! Yesterday, I sold my Ultra 1 and traded it for the Ultra 2. I fell in love with it after just one day of use-especially the screen, the smooth performance, and the gesture controls for Spotify. People always say it’s not worth upgrading from the Ultra 1 and that the 10 is better, but I completely disagree. I think they’ve downsized it. It’s the same with the iPhone 16 Pro versus the 15 Pro; some say it’s not worth it, but I find it truly satisfying. Not being able to afford something is completely different from being a real user, so you have to see it to believe it before criticizing."

Went from Apple Watch 7 lte - Apple Watch Ultra black …. Wow I luv this watch it’s great for my hikes, biking and gym days ..the screen and design is gorgeous.. And the battery life is fantastic for an Apple Watch ..don’t think I could go back to a normal Apple Watch again ..

Worth mentioning the black will chip and reveal the natural titanium. 3 days into having my watch I accidentally scraped it against the wall of an old church tower on vacation and now it’s got a big silver mark along the raised edge :(

Got both jet-black 46mm and ultra 2 black Two different watches but honestly really hard to decide which one to keep Love ultra 2 black look, the battery will last longer in cold environment and easier to see the screen in sunny cities when I visit. I do not need to worry about damaging it as much. BUT, I can always feel the weight on the wrist and I just cannot sleep with it for the sleep tracking feature. If you have a medium to smaller wrist (I am a in between), you will have to strap it tighter so it does not get top heavy and move around. But then it makes even less comfortable. Series 10 in the other hand disappear on the wrist with a comfortable band. I can sleep with it no problem. But there's a good chance for me to scratch the watch with my line of work (and adding a case defeat the purpose of having a slim light watch). The jet-black honestly looks like cheap plastic from Temu if comparing to SS or Titanium. Some reviewers say the screen is better on Series 10... maybe I am dreaming but it's the opposite feeling for me. It seems like the color comes out better on Ultra 2 maybe because of the Sapphire crystal?

I got the Ultra 2 about a week ago and coming from a Series 7 stainless steel, it’s a bit of an adjustment. I’m really enjoying the extra battery life though as well as the larger casing as it feels more substantial.

I’m sporting my silver Titanium ultra 2 and love it. I ordered the natural titanium Apple Watch 10 but sent it back. It just did not measure up to the durability and heft of my Ultra. I wear it when not working using the apple bracelet link which looks sweet. I also did not want to give up my modular ultra watch faces. Your’s in black looks great as well. I upgraded to the Apple Watch Ultra 2 coming from the Series 8. I wasn't really blown away about the look of the Ultra 1 or Ultra 2 but I just love the look of the Satin Black Ultra 2 so I got it on pre-order and it was well worth the upgrade. I love the look, the additional features and definitely the battery life. 🐬

My biggest pet peeve happened in Watch OS 10 where Apple made it harder to use the watch as a stand alone music device (if your phone was close by). When I go to the gym w my Apple Watch I have to power the phone off. Start the music w the watch. Power the phone on then hope it doesn’t start playing from the phone again. It’s a terrible flaw Thanks for a great review tho !

Upgraded from Graphite series 8 ss to AWU2 satin black and I love it! Better battery life bigger screen double tap is useful in certain situations. When I first saw the Ultra I wanted it but did not like the color so as soon as I saw it was black I was sold! 🐬

Around six months ago I went from series 7SS to the ultra 2 with tail loop. While still making payments on the au2 Apple dropped the black model and I immediately ordered one with the new titanium band and in my opinion it’s worth every single penny!!

Hand gestures actually do work on the Ultra 1. You find it in accessibility’s section. Also you don’t get sleep apnea reading in Ultra 1 and cannot hear music directly through the watch on Ultra 1.

I had Ultra 2, I swapped for the Titanium Series 10. Same price, just the Series 10 feels so much better. Battery life wise, even the 18 hours Apple gives for Series 10 is very dependent. For instance, yesterday at 10am I went to a hotel for birthday & out all day & night. I'm home now and the time is 13.30. That's 27.5 by hours so far and on my battery widget I've still got 25% left.

Upgraded my trusty but aging SE 1 to the 10 last week and with the slimmer casing was able to go up in case size comfortably without it feeling bulky on my wrist. The Ultra still feels like too much watch for me, but I love all the new features I’ve gained after six years of improvements from the 4 (that the SE was based on) to the 10. Can’t overstate how much I’m enjoying that jump in screen size with this thinner casing. Looks sleek while also being highly functional.

Same situation here (Upgraded from an AWU1 to the black edition), in my case I was doing it mostly for the battery life, my previous watch was 2 years old and I used it frequently; also another upgrade beside the speed, 3000 nits and double tab gestures is that you can play music from the watch speakers and the sleep apnea feature, in the previous generation that was not possible. 🐬

I went with the ultra 2 in black…with the green trail loop band. I enjoyed my ultra 1, but I had to have that black finish. It just makes the ultra so much better IMHO. Down the line I could see myself ordering the Milanese band to compliment the ultra even more. Great video; I respect your opinion & enthusiasm for the ultra.

yeah I've been looking for some videos about it, the main gist is: Siri is more responsive so if you use to set reminders, timers etc. it's best, and GPS location is better, so if you cycle outdoors a lot and you're very nitpicky with data that's best for you. I'm getting a ultra 2 because I found a sweet deal in my city but there wouldn't be a reason for me to not get a ultra 1

How is your battery health and have you noticed much of a drop in longevity? I just picked up an ultra 2 and coming from a series 8 and at 78% battery health, the battery performance drop was enormous. Literally the one and only reason I got the ultra was for more battery life.

Hi , I received my order today ( Black Ultra 2 ) with black Milanese loop band “L”. It has plenty of spare , my wrist size is 185mm. Go for the “M”. I will say this though I found it tricky to connect without slipping a little.

The only true silver option is Hermes version. From my hands on experience the natural titanium is polished gray tone. The new satin black milanese looks and fits great to the jet black aluminum. Thats is what I went with.

🐬THANK YOU! I’m ordering the titanium edition as a bday gift. I have a series 7 lol my bday is 11/7 - 1+1 equals 2 for Ultra 2 lol any reasoning works for me!. Also, having it has always been an addition to safety arsenal. I’ve never lost my iPhone but if I do - I have my watch to communicate and locate it. I’m glad you were able to dress it up too lol its sleekness is another reason for the titanium edition😂😂😂

Just got the ultra 2 in black, I charge it to 100% and run endurance test. The results were amazing compared to what Apple claims in their website. With Normal use, cellular off and WiFi on, the battery lasted 70 hours (almost 3 days) when I decided to charge it at 3%. During this time I didn’t not turned on the low power which is amazing considering Apple claims 72 hrs in low power mode.

I watched a video the other day, and the guy was doing some drop test on to concrete, gravel with the Ultra (natural titanium colour) and the Ultra in satin black. The Ultra in black did show the dings etc, and I would have expected it to have been a bit more resilient. But the take on the video was a couple of things. 1 don't buy the Ultra 2 in black if you think it will be more resilient to dings and scratches etc than the natural titanium colour. 2 if you get scratches, dings on the Ultra 2 in black, they will be very noticeable, as you will see the much lighter titanium/natural titanium colour revealed underneath, whereas the Ultra in natural titanium will hide the dings and scratches a lot better.

@@FastRedPonyCar That would be my worry if I had the black and I scratched it. I'm careful with stuff, but I have on more than one occasion scratched a watch. The natural colour masks scratches up much better, and in my opinion I think it looks more premium than the black. Hope you enjoy the Ultra 2 😉

Thank you Fernando for this great video. I own a series 7 in slate stainless steel. I just ordered a battery replacement since I still had AppleCare. My series seven is awesome. I loved everything about it, but I always wanted an Ultra, but hated the unfinished titanium color. Now that Satin Black is released, I pulled the trigger and ordered one through AT&T. It should ship sometime in early to mid October. Very excited, and can't wait for it to arrive. I ordered mine with the Milanese Loop as well! Thanks again, and keep up the excellent work!

Nice review and gosh the that black looks so sleek! I have the “OG” Ultra (my first Apple Watch!) and just got the Series 10 in slate titanium. The “only” differences you mention are actually pretty big differences, especially in the battery department. I was extremely shocked how so much better the battery life is with the Ultra, and I have to say that I got spoiled by the Ultra, and even my heavily used Ultra blows the Series 10 out of the water. I plan to use both watches for different reasons - the Ultra for workouts/jogging and Series 10 for casual wear. The Watch App also makes having managing multiple watches so easy, it basically switches on its own and I never how to think about it and my activity from both watches just seamlessly sync, which is golden. BTW, I have not seen one of your videos in a while and I like that you’re rocking the long hair! Cheers!

Solid video but your logic is odd at points. First: noting the series 10 having a faster charging speed. It doesn’t. It has a smaller battery which is able to fill up faster, but the charging speed is the same. 2nd: trying to judge the durability of your titanium watch vs a WALL.

Ummmmmm.... you do realize you can get the same type of band from Amazon for a fraction of the price.... the only difference is you don't get that buckle.. other than that I absolutely love my Black Version as well... I'm just worried because it is "painted on "... add claims to be just as durable as the watch itself and so far it has shown to be somewhat durable as I have bumped it into things as well... but as you said time will tell

If apple would’ve updated this with a new chip, I would’ve purchased it day one, or maybe knocked 75-100 bucks off of it. I’m not paying full price for “old” tech in a new body though.
