I might be the only one... but I actually like to make my own skin mist. I use rose water, glycerin, and vitamin E. I find that it's one of the best concoctions I've ever made, hydrates my skin, diminishes the caky look from powders, and gives my face a beautiful glow. Plus I know exactly what goes into it, and it's all natural pure ingredients. ❤

The fact that it has only natural ingredients doesn't necessarily mean it's better for your skin and it also doesn't mean it's penetrating your skin. But, of course, if it's working for you there's no reason to stop

Try using the Smashbox primer water after you have put your makeup on instead of as a primer. It works in the same way that the Mac Fix + does in that it stops it from looking cakey and powdery it just brings it all together and looks natural and dewy. I have very dry skin and sometimes my foundation can look cakey but this fixes that problem.

Glad you included this category in your stash series! I work outdoors for 8 hours a day, and here in So Cal for the last few summers, that has meant 90-100 degree heat and high humidity! I needed something to make my makeup STAY ON, I have had worsening acne and with dry skin, that meant my makeup wore off around my blemishes and dry patches first. I tried the two highest-reviewed (on makeup alley) setting sprays in Sephora, the Urban Decay All Nighter and the Kat Von D version. Neither of them was lasting enough, my makeup still moved around and sweated off too easily! I did some searching and found positive reviews of Ben Nye Final Seal, which is of course marketed more towards stage makeup, so I got a small bottle to try. I think it does the job better than anything I have tried so far. I pour it into the mini All Nighter bottle, because that has the best "mist" spraying action of any of the bottles, that is very important! My sis has the Mehron one for face paint, testing it next!

Mario Badescu facial spray with aloe, herb, and rosewater is a great setting spray and refresher. The smell is to die for and it helps my makeup if it's looking dry or too powdery. It's not drugstore, but it's only $7 at ulta!

I'm not sure if Trilogy counts as a drugstore brand ... But I've been recently using the hydrating mist toner !! It has this Rosie smell and even though it's a toner I think it can count as a setting spray !!!! It makes ur face look really hydrated with a nice complexion finish!!

something you can do is get a matte facial primer from whatever brand you want it could be drugstore or high end. A drugstore option I like is nyx or loreal has a primer that is pink and is in a little pot that works so good. A high end option that is good is cover fx mattifying primer that also has salicylic acid in it which is good if you have acne prone skin. After that apply a matte foundation to your skin and concealer. There is a makeup technique called baking which works so well for oily skin all you need to do is get a loose translucent powder and a damp sponge and apply the powder underneath your eyes forehead nose and chin. This will soak up any oil on your face. After you finish the rest of your makeup routine follow up with a setting spray like from UD or a good drugstore one is loreal or wet n wild. Good luck!

From the drugstore, I like to use the loreal infallible setting spray to intensify any products that aren't super pigmented or that I want to make more metallic. And for setting my makeup I like to use the NYX matte finishing spray, it lasts a lot longer than my UD oil control setting spray.

Boots has a really nice rose water toner in a spray bottle that is lovely. I've also seen Yes to Cucumber and all those other fruit varieties come out with new mists that I've heard good things about :)

I love your bloopers...you and Raw Beauty Kristi show us so many bloopers I love it...it really shows us how that it isn't as easy as you all make it look when we watch your finished video...since I haven't yet made a beauty related video, it makes me feel better because i have messed up a lot when I been practicing lately for my 1st video coming this week...when I watch them I also wanted to say that it looks like it takes u a really long time to make a video too...like u seem like a perfectionist like me...

Loréal infallable for long lasting is a good one and Avène thermal spring water for misting, sunburn or just dry skin ... Adore the stuff 😍

Yes To Grapefruits Toner Spray! I use it as skincare, but it also does a great job at refreshing or adding moisture to makeup mid day! Love it. Great for sensitive skin and no harsh chemicals! Found it at Target. :)

L'Oréal Infallible setting spray is really great especially with the matching foundation. also I use the ELF one as a primer spray because it is hydrating for me. OH and this isn't drugstore but Mary Kay has a setting spray that is a collab with Skindinavia and I really like it!

I LOVE the Tatcha dewy skin mist!! one from the drugstore i've tried is the L'oréal Infallible Pro-spray-set, I find that it doesn't keep my makeup on as long as the All-Nighter does but it's pretty similar to the Chill setting spray.
