I use an instant read thermometer probe and cook to 145 to 155 for pork and 165 for chicken. I let them set for 5 minutes or so to rest before I cut them.

Miss Margaret, I know you used your moms method of cooking pork chops, but when they’re this thick, it’s better to butterfly them before cooking and they will cook much more evenly with a shorter cooking time. Just a suggestion. Love your channel!

Wow! I had those very same boneless loin chops last night! I dipped them in an egg wash then dregged in a dry coating of plain bead crumbs seasoned with Italian seasoning/garlic salt with parsley, onion powder and paprika, and fresh grated Parmesan. Seared them 2 minutes per side and then baked them on a rack at 425 about 15-20 -- until the temp was 155. Delicious! 😋

@@patlovato4073 They grow wild and are very seasonal. Much like a wild onion or a wild leek. They are pungent, to put it mildly. They are very popular with most country folk. Lol. I don't care for them. The house stinks, your breath stinks, lol. You have to go to the woods and dig them up. There are better ways for me to get my green veggies. But, around here, they have ramp dinners for fund raisers, etc.

I grew up on lard and grew up in the city. My Daddy would go to the country where my Grandma 👵 lived in Elkton Va and would bring back a big metal tin bucket with lid and handle full of fresh lard from the farm. That was good fried food with that stuff 😋

you can buy a meat thermometer to check the temperature of the meat to ensure it is done...u can get some very inexpensive ones. If u don't want to bake your chops you can test the tempetature instead of cutting them up. You can also turn stove to low and put a lid on the pan. Will cook them evenly.

Turn the heat down and put a lid on it that will help it cook better but then you're going to have to take the lid off at the end to make sure they get Krispy

Instead of water, my Ma would use egg & milk before rolling the pork in the flour to fry with bacon grease or crisco. She went to be with the Lord after dealing with L.G.D. We definitely miss her. But safe in the arms of Jesus. As true believers, we'll see all our loved ones again. P.T.L.

We used to always go to Grandview state park is I don't know what area that was in as we were kids I was raised in Fort Lauderdale Florida we would go see Grandma straight into the the mountain in rodale West Virginia that's 3 MacArthur Crab Orchard slab Fork we would go grandma lives right there on the right Little Creek the bridge went over to the church the school on the left went from grade 1 to 12 and it was right between the mountains buddy I tell you the school was up on the hill on the left we have people over in Crab Orchard as I said before Beckley we did live there 4 years in Beckley the exhibition mine ran Underground below our house we stay there from 73 to 77 and that's when we came to North Carolina and I've been here since then from Indian Trail over to Locust funny thing I have two brothers they were born Beckley got two sisters all of us girls was born in Fort Lauderdale my son was born in Gainesville Florida my brother's son was born in Beckley and one in St Augustine Florida I'd like to West Virginia the snow was beautiful when the moon hit all over it what a beautiful backyard with a huge pine tree that spread out in the woods behind us and a man it was just like me so thick snow like up to your knees and the moon would just Sparkle all over that snow but I like North Carolina cuz we don't have a lot of snow and it's mild and I like it when to see it fall and dissipate yep that's right tell you what it was so hot today 82° and then a trailer that's very hot can't hardly stand to go outside I feel sorry for them people where it reaches over 100° we got to pray for everybody all the nations around the world and the people in America and all our states for the lost and the unsaved Jesus name Lord send down the Holy Spirit fire lord Jesus we need you Jesus we love you Jesus thank you Father Yeshua❤

I fry mine just until little brown then put in oven at 375 i pour gravy over them i just use a packet of pork chop gravy you mix with water on stove not get to thick and pour over and put foil over bake about 1hr 15 mins. be real tender

Just read a few items from cooking websites and fda pork slightly pink is safe to eat it's the time and temp rule you need to follow, pork is safe to eat when ut has reached 145 degrees and us left to rest so carry over cook time finishes ut.
