I'm a General Contractor in Wyoming! You need to take the forms on the footers and left over concrete around the footers out!!! If you don't, The wood will Rot and leave a big void under the floor! Also the left over concrete is not packed under the floor and it or will not drain or bond to the floor and would not pass code as much as you have in there!

FYI; Leaving wood concrete forms in the ground under a basement slab is generally not recommended for several reasons including: Mold: Wood left in a moist environment can develop mold, which can be a health hazard. Termites: Wood can attract termites, which can cause significant damage to the structure. Material Decomposition: Over time, wood will decompose, potentially leading to voids or settlement issues under the slab. It's best to remove the wood forms after the concrete has set to avoid these issues.
@douglaswilliams47352 ай бұрын
Absolutely true, remove that wood or you have the potential for future problems.

You are half right. Decomposition needs oxygen. If the wood is buried deep or wet enough, thus if the environment is reliably lacking of oxygen, it's fine. This basement is what, 10ft below ground level, BUT just on the (artifical) water level?

I'm an interior designer and designed kitchens for 3 years. My suggestion is to had a pot filler faucet behind/above the stove and spring for an insta hot faucet in your sink. Having boiling water seriously speeds up things like cup a noodles, tea, hot cocoa etc. Also don't forget filler pieces in corners so drawers and cabinet doors don't hit each other. Also ask about the kitchen triangle.

Call you can use a stud wall in in the underground movie theater against the concrete walls, you’ll lose 8 inches of space across the entire space with drywall and the two by fours, but you can come back later and add outlets wherever you want personally my suggestion would be build a temporary wooden wall in the hole in the side of your existing foundation walls pour the basement floor in the existing foundation and get your heater back up and running and take care of the inside of your house that way you’re not stuck doing nothing all winter if you can’t get the concrete foundation walls poured before winter truly sets in the house will be reasonably able to be heated and you can make progress so you and your family can move back in sooner. You’ll just have to seal up the area well with plastic wrap with thick heavy duty plastic so that you can start work on your addition in the spring and summer of next year your boys are young enough that they won’t mind sleeping in the same room as each other and you and your wife can sleep in another room. I’m someone who loves efficiency and keeping the momentum moving if you have big plans. I can look at the big picture and point out the small details that need to be addressed. You can reach out to me if you’d like and I’ll help you figure out what you need to get your plans done in a reasonable timeframe because a jack of all trades is a master of none but still much better than a master of one I can weld I can do Frating carpet work. I can do enough of everything that I can build your entire house if you wanted me to not going to, but I can help you along the way with planning because you do seem to be a little bit all over the place
