I remember my relationship with Morrigan began a few years ago, it was when I was very close to suicide. I had been an atheist for most of my early life, scoffing at anything supernatural, but there was always an entity that I couldn't name in the back of my mind. Eventually when I got to a point in my life where I saw no meaning in continuing it, she found me. In the darkest corridors of my mind The Morrigan revealed herself to me. It wasn't a kind or warm welcome, it was more of a sorrowful motherly embrace. She showed me kindness in the shadows of life, and guided me away from the beckoning of the Otherworld. I keep an altar to her, and ask her advice from time to time, but I haven't asked anything of her that's worth more than what I myself can give. I keep her always in my mind as my ancestral mother, but since then I've started to learn more of the history of the Celtic people and the other Gods. Particularly I've felt called to Cernunnos and Lugh, but I'll never forget the gift Morrigan gave me.

I have had a very similar experience with her. As time has gone on she has turned more into someone who pushes me and brings me more drive to keep going. Helping me to grow thicker skin in a way. She has always been there since I was around 12 years old.

Broo that's so weird I was in a pretty similar spot. I've been an atheist for a long time before doing way more research and making a lot of connections that made it stop making sense honestly. Like I won't hold my beliefs over objective science but it doesn't overlap over it really much either. I almost became a wiccan back in the day so I researched Celtic lore and got an interest for it despite not believing it. I still loved the connection to my Gaelic ancestors and found the subject interesting, Morrigan above the rest. I just remember hitting rock bottom recently. In all aspects of life. I wanted to expire as well but my family saved me out of nowhere. And I was still really struggling for a while but I had suddenly fast-building motivation. I've been exercising, meditating, and expanding my mind. I've been researching gaelic culture again and fell in love once again. I feel so much better even though I'm not remotely close to my goals. I found OBAD and joined that. Especially since I've started my course and actually address Morrigan in meditations or use her as a motivational image has felt really good honestly

My partner has a relationship with the Morrigan. He didnt go looking for her. She had been following him his entire life. My partner has cognitive, emotional, and physical disabilities. His life has always been a battle. He is not a self confident person by any means, and doesnt fit into the role of a warrior in an army in a traditional sense. But I can not deny his uncanny relationship with the Morrigan or her very apparent care and attention to him. I wouldnt say that she is the most warm and motherly, but, certainly very protective of him. I think he fits into the freed slave category. He was raised a Christian, and had been taken advantage of by the Church lawfully because of his cognitive difficulty. My feeling is that the Morrigan called him out of that bondage, and beckoned him to her, because she wanted him to contemplate in a way which his christian upbringing did not allow. I think escaping that system was indeed part of her plan...and that he is a strategic player for her. One less for the side of bigotry and intolerance perhaps, or maybe as a supportive player to others who might take more of a role at the forefront of her army. When I see his relationship with her, it is clear to me that she has a deep compassion and understanding of his disabilities and their limitations. It is very different from how I have seen her act with others or heard of her acting with others. If we were to take the description of a matriarch of a family, he'd be the one she least shook the spoon at and probably over fed. It's very odd to watch. But I cannot deny that at our handfasting and at almost every single outdoor rite we perform, tons of crows show up, several times theyve stolen our offerings from the altar before we drew our circle, and that they literally seem to follow us in our journeys. He had a stroke a year ago..and you could literally feel her energy all over him before and after the surgery to unblock his carotid arteries. She is his. For what reason I am not sure. The beautiful thing about him is that he is very kind, but also doesnt accept unkindness. He works on a warehouse environment with many men of a certain age and type..and he is constantly looking out for those on the margins there. Standing up to racism and sexism as much as he can. And it confounds them frequently. This to me may be how she works with him. She approaches him in a style he can receive.

Morrigan the great goddess. As she has become known to me as personally. Morrigan has seemed to been very active in my experiences in the past decade. She is very loving and caring in her own way towards those with disabilities in some way. For example, I have autism high functioning. That said Morrigan is sort of passive in her presence. Much like your partner Morrigan seems To assist me in things in dark times. When things are good or going ok the goddess is quiet To us unless crows are nearby To those she seems to take a personal interest in anyways. Normally she would benefit warriors, but that raises a question of what constitutes as a warrior to the goddess? If it's simply someone that fights as their occupation then many fit that criteria. Or is a warrior someone willing to fight against something even if the fight is against an idea or non violent event/act? Or perhaps a warrior is someone with resounding strong will? Morrigan is different to different people. Though one thing is very clear she obviously chooses some specific individuals, for what purpose I cannot fathom.

That's very interesting and wonderful. Thanks for sharing. I also came out of Christianity and had religious trauma. The Morrigan called me after I'd become a Pagan. Initially I was scared to work with her after what I'd heard. She's always there but not always in my face. She's teaching me to stand up for myself as the religion took away a lot of my autonomy, esp as a woman in relationships. She does sometimes back off. She tells me to work with Brigid for a while. 😆

The Mórrígan first came to me as a young child . She was not a mother figure at all yet helped me to face my fears and gain my self sovereignty. I have been doing works for her but neglect to do daily devotionals . A friend of mine who is highly empathic and psychic could see a dark mass circling around me but thought it was something else . I am so accustomed to her being around me that it didn’t dawn on me it was The Mórrígan. To me , she has been a great teacher and I am honoured to have her presence around me . Oh yes ! I am a new subscriber from Canada 🇨🇦 Thank you for sharing Angel hugs and blessings 💚💚💚

Thank you for taking that labor Lora. I mean...I suppose it isn´t easy, but without you many people could have never found their way or something worse. I can´t imagine the kind of sacrifice it could take to have a relationship like that with a goddess as powerful and symbolic as The Morrigan. Personally most of time I feel her like an inspiring commander or a mischievous deity, sometimes like a misterious mother. From her choice I can only take that you are a strong woman with a great will. So yeah...thank you for taking the labor and helping us to connect with Morrigan and make our relationship smother, and may the stars guide your way.

its so weird, there are all these little things i feel weird doing, my friends (i have two) who worship the morrigan always call her mom, and their matron goddess. they very much have a connection with her as a tutelary goddess. for me, this is a part of her, but it is a small part. she has protected me in a way a mother would, but she is very much "i am not your mother" with me. For a while I thought that means she wasnt my goddess but now im realizing maybe that is just how she relates with me. your videos are really helping me. i just started working through them in order tonight so you will probably see me leave comments as i work my way through. also, do you happen to know any other lgbt people who work with the Morrigan? on yt, or on podcasts, blogs etc preferably?

The Morrigan has been in my life since my early childhood but I did not become aware until several months ago. I am 43. The sheer amount of signs along the way are uncanny. Ive had a special place in my heart for crows and I see them everywhere. I decorated my kitchen with and collected cattle figurines for twenty years. I used to draw wolves obsessively. The list goes on and on.

I do think that people may have different relationships with the same Deity. That sometimes what they deem as true or universal is rather experienced through too much of a personal lense and given as the only way there is. Also, I think about the linearity of some reoccurring aspects I can get from the recounts of people honouring the same Deity. On the scholarly side I didn' t know anything beyond what is provided on the surface, I am learning now and think this approach is making the difference to the extent of how I used to get around Deity then and the way I do now. So I can say that The Mórrígan has never been maternal towards me : ) And it's not that I wouldn' t have wanted that, on a human level. There are, to me, different planes which can and must be addressed. So in a certain way, The Mórrígan has helped me from the beginning not to project my stuff on Her: She simply wouldn' t have allowed it.

Without getting too personal , I have to testify that the Mórrígan has been with me since early childhood. I don’t know exactly yet if She is with me now because of this lifetime or a past life. I have been blessed to find my soul mother from a past life where we both lived and died ( horrible death ) in now Northern Scotland. I feel strongly we invoked the Mórrígan ( though she may have gone by a different name ) during our passing. In this lifetime , I am certain it was the Mórrígan who used her tough love on me around 10 years old. She would just stand at the bottom of my bed like a nightmare statue . I was a very scared young child and suffered many traumas and abuse and attracted many lost souls to me . I don’t call them ghosts because it’s dehumanizing and offensive. The Mórrígan/ Crone who would stand there with a smirk more than a smile had helped me to set boundaries and find my self sovereignty . One night I finally had enough and got angry and yelled to leave me alone and I never saw the crone again but the lost souls and spirits were still around me . I say the Mórrígan because she looked well kept ( for lack of a better term ) , not covered in vines / branches . And another give away was she showed up in early childhood when I was very upset and called out in pain for Mother . My birth mother abandoned me at birth and I felt my blood mother was not my real mother. At 53 years old now , I can’t deny my reality with her support since I have had way too many spiritual experiences. She knows how poor I am but she has asked me for birch water ( sap ) . We have many birch trees nearby me but it’s not so easy for me since I am disabled and it’s not an easy climb and will take more than one trip but I am prepared to. Lucky for me , she gave me a heads up ahead of time since there’s too much snow and early for sap flow . Thank you for sharing and your channel Angel hugs and blessings to you and yours and all souls 💚💚💚💚

I find it quite funny how we have similar experiences with our goddess. She tests your metal all the time and when she wants a certain outcome it will happen and the more you fight her the harsher the lesson. She knows best and I'm supposed to trust her. However she can be softer in times of need. Matron sounds like it fits her better than mother. She picks those that are resilient to work with her I've found.

so this is even more confirmy/intuity/coincidence/synchronocity.. i only recently had a name i only recently looked at images and yours are the first videos im listening too. i had a big thing happen and i had many big things happen. at the end or not the end but at a bridge she was there. i did not go across the bridge. its about fear but i eill leave outthe explanation in this moment but this is the second video im listening too and it struck me my good fortune again , that it is your videos and not others i found as if the others are 'off' or 'weird' i would not recognise the person i was seeking! if id clicked on something that had ill description or spoke differently... well id still be looking as in i have an reason to be looking for her and if the video wasnt describing her id be not listening or think id found the wrong person. although i did not have that sense of being a servant in the brief time we met it was more a person to person being to being thing. like if the butler puts out the bat sign the bat shows up and so do his cohorts or companions quest mates :) but the butler sent out the sign. so maybe i sent out a sign or a call from a place of something like essence maybe. a distress signal and a call of honour to that. a call to my people. a people call ? i dont mean inclusive/exclusive family i mean forget all words used to describe you or what you see in the mirror. i called from what is me to everyone i think. i called out i know that for sure. it was not a sweet call but it was not hatred or malice but it contained a call. um like not a request or a question or a thing like that maybe like a call to a round table of a sortbor a conference. something called from me to that which is in all the others and i called to them a sound or a feeling or a colour... a great noise. it seemed all i could do. how embaressing and cringe i feel but regardless. she came. k x x

Since "matron" and "patron" do not form a semantic pair differing only by gender, I think that "patroness" is the best way to express a feminine protectress. Webster defines "patroness" as being "a woman who is a patron".
