That's a great EDC! Instead of centralized pouch storage, I space things out among five pockets. I attach my flashlight, charging cable and meds to my keys. I carry paper and pen in my Allett wallet, along with Purell, Iodine and Shout pads plus a Dude wipe and a SwissCard. My one-handed opening knife is clipped to my right front pocket. In that pocket I keep chapstick, a Victorinox Companion and a mini Altoids trouble kit. In my watch pocket, I keep a butane ligher and pry bar. If I do it right, all the weight and bulk is pretty evenly spaced out. That said, I love your organization!

That is a very interesting way to carry things. One that maybe I should explore myself. Sounds very lightweight too!

Add a one gallon zip lock bag. You can use it to collect, contain and carry water, and to purify water using UV purification system by laying it in the bright sun for an hour. You can use it to keep your phone (and EDC pouch) dry if you get in a downpour, or have to forge a stream, or have do duck into a ditch for a tornado. Emergency floatation device (fill it with air and stick it under your shirt - or your kid's shirt.) And you can use it has a handy carrying bag if you happen to come across fresh wild blueberries. One gallon zip lock bag. Add it to your little bag.

Great edc kit! On a whim a few years ago I took about a dozen twist ties from the produce section of the grocery store and added them to my pouch. I was really amazed at how often they came in handy for random things. Now I have a few in every one of my pouches.

I have the same pouch (tan color). Did a video a bit back. We have much of the same things. I keep a 600 or 1000 grit, small diamond stone. Also a Boker pen with a t-6 and t-8 torx bit and, as always, band-aids. 😅 There a very good little pocket pouch.

Great video. I think I'd dump the pad and just keep afew sheets of paper and a small pen from a bookies. In place of the pad, how about a Mylar Space Blanket and a Bin Liner (Garbage bag) for shelter (with the cordage) Also a 2ft square of Tin Foil (fire reflector or cup/pot to boil water), zip lock freezer bag (for water), puritabs and a small Ferro Rod. A wire saw wouldn't take up much room, either. In the UK, the biggest danger from a "hike" is an unexpected Night on the Moors or Hills and the threat of Hypothermia.

This is a very good EDC go bag. A few suggestions: get rid of the notebook and carry 3by5 post-it-notes. I carry mine folded in half. Putting a note on a mirror, post, car window, or door is needed more than you think. The hardest thing for me, and I think for most, is deciding on one multitool. I spent a lot of energy before limiting my mine to the Nextool Flagship mini. Previously I had a SAK Rambler , and Leatherman Squirt. The one thing I did not see is a flint and one match. In small packs I prefer that over a bic.
@SurvivingtheDaily3 ай бұрын
Great idea, I love post-it-notes!! I will also throw a pack of matches in the waterproof pouch! As for the flint, I think that may need to be saved for special occasions. I haven't been so far from civilization, that I've need one, in quite a while.

Forget benadryl. Use a 2nd generation antihistamine for allergy relief without drowsiness. Some over the counter options in the US are cetirizine (Zyrtec), fexofenadine (Allegra), and loratadine (Claritin).
@SurvivingtheDaily3 ай бұрын
You're right. I should have those too. But the Benadryl is more for anaphylactic allergic reactions. In conjunction with epipens. And yes, I forgot those at home too. 🤦♂️

Great video nicely presented. Great edc too. For me there is 1 but: Where do you keep a package like that? You need a large pocket for it so that would mean you need to bring a coat along too. Is it possible to clip it on your belt or something like that?
@SurvivingtheDaily2 ай бұрын
You make a valid point. Normally when I'm carrying an item like this, it's usually in my hand or in cargo pants pockets. But if I'm hiking or just walking a lot, those options are very uncomfortable. Maybe a carabineer to hang it from my belt. Or add a strap to fully complete the man purse that it is. 😂

@@SurvivingtheDaily Yes to both, I found out I was insulin resistant, and my body can't have carbs, or sugars and starches. It is reversible, but it requires fasting and the keto diet, so I have had to follow a strict diet. The insulin resistance was making my blood pressure, along with a few other things out of control, I had no choice, so within 4-6 months I have lost the weight as a result. My blood pressure is way better, and while still on the diet (I'll need to be) for 3-6 more months, I will lose more. My energy is starting to come back, and I am starting to feel normal more of the time.
