I speak from experience. My grandfather was just cruel. When you are a child it hurts so bad like they rip your soul out of you and you don't even know what you did wrong. You keep trying because you want to be expected like your cousins. When I was around 15 I was only resentful and stopped trying. So it has not so much to do with forgiveness but more that you want to be treated the same way as everyone else because you want to belong. With parents it is different. Parents you forgive unless they treat you the same way and totally different than your siblings. I'm almost 70 but never got an answer what was so wrong with me.

I’m so sorry those things happened. I’m the middle child and only girl. I was told that college would be paid for my brothers but, I was to take care of my parents for the rest of their lives. When I heard that, I left, got 2 Masters Degrees and never looked back. They reached out when I had my son but, I allowed holidays only, And only if myself or my husband was there.

Im in my 80s. Been widowed a few times. First thing you do after you realize you may be dealing with a bitch of a MIL, you let her know asap you don't put up with any crap. And if she gives you crap, you stand your ground, and if need be you walk away from marrying her son.

This video is an absolute masterpiece of storytelling and serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of putting safety and well-being first. The way the narrative unfolds is both gripping and heartfelt, keeping viewers engaged from start to finish. The lesson about prioritizing a child's safety over convenience is conveyed in such a relatable and impactful manner. The attention to detail and emotional depth make it impossible not to reflect on our own decisions and values. It's a perfect blend of drama and moral lessons, leaving a lasting impression that stays with you long after watching. Truly an eye-opening and meaningful video!

That grandmother is like my grandfather from my fathers side. Only he was worse. Showing me the expensive gifts he bought for my cousin and giving me just 2 dollar for my birthday. When i went over wirh children from a friend of his, he send me home because i did not belong he said. One time he bought ice cream for everyone except for me. He treated my mother the same way when my father and mother lived with them right after the war.

Its not necessarily kneeling, its getting down to the childs level to make them feel comfortable. Ryan was already nervous so getting down to his level would have made him feel less threatened. Even so regardless of her problems Martha behaved abominably to little Ryan.

I thought she only had one son? She introduced Mary as her "second son's wife." Ryan has an egg allergy, so how do you make pancakes without eggs? Grandma should have yanked her granddaughter out of private school, stopped paying for piano lessons and stopped buying expensive gifts if her finances were so critical. Her financial state was a stupid explanation for why she was cruel to Ryan. The daughter, Catherine, should have got a job instead of freeloading. Good story.

My Mom did something similar to my oldest son when he was 5 - we dealt with it and I thought it was water under the bridge. He is now 35 (Grandma has passed) - at a recent family gathering we were reminiscing - he brought it up - he remembered word for word and he was still upset. Kids don't forget slights like that - they know if they're treated differently. Moral: Think before you open your mouth and blat something out - kids actually have very long memories!

It’s important to prioritize safety, especially when it comes to children. Comments like 'your son doesn’t need a seat' might come from a place of misunderstanding, but it’s a reminder for all of us to trust expert advice and follow safety guidelines. I hope this situation helped highlight the importance of car seats or appropriate seating for children, as their well-being should always come first.

Finances never have ANYTHING to do with how you treat a child with complete disregard and disrespect. That was a total B.S. excuse if I ever heard one. It’s different when you can’t give your children or grandchildren things because of financial problems but that only works when they’re treated equally. She knew her son was going to hear about what she did to her grandson. That was the biggest reason she apologized to her DIL, grandson and son. It’s a good thing that they were as forgiving as they were and her son knew how to help her because of his career.
