things to note about dante: ebony and ivory seem to be modeled after the colt m1911, though dante's are heavily modified and feature special made parts yamato is a katana with the ability to divide and separate seemingly anything, however the ability of the sword to do so requires the strong spirit and focus of its wielder devil arms (in general): as they are far more numerous than what is mentioned in this video, devil arms are demons that have transformed themselves into objects as a sign of submission to a being they consider to be superior to them and, perhaps more importantly, worthy of commanding them. it is unknown whether or not being in this state renders the demon indestructible however they can be subjected to extreme forces with seemingly no change in appearance at all. dante's business, Devil May Cry is regularly under threat of going under. dante's own lacking financial knowledge and the highly destructive nature of his work ensure that, despite his exorbitant rates, he's barely able to keep the business running and all of his bills come out of his own pocket as no insurance company is willing to accept him as client. In fact, dante struggles so much to keep his business afloat that he has, on multiple occasions, been forced to sell off many of his devil arms in underground auctions in order to pay his bills. this also makes him the world's largest supplier of devil arms and demonic artifacts (one of the demons he defeated i believe also actually runs a business as a front to help dante traffic his demonic weapons so he can keep his own business running) it is unknown what the actual downsides of using the devil trigger form are as the phenomenon itself isn't elaborated on in much detail. some speculate that beings like dante with a devil trigger can stay in those forms indefinitely but choose not for a variety of reasons dante and vergil heal so fast that you could cut a limb off either of them and it's likely they're bodies will have healed from the damage before the blade makes it all the way through dante's favorite pizza dish is a large pepperoni with jalapenos dante's favorite dessert is a strawberry sundae

Just thought I'd give you a heads up, Witch Time and Quicksilver don't freeze time but slow it down tremendously. I've played both games and during both the enemies are still moving, they just move so slow that they seem like they're frozen in time. Also, the weapon Dante used wielded explosive spikes that he could detonate. I originally voted for Dante. I should also warn you, there was a time Death Battle only clued us in on a single opponent, making us wait to find out who the second one was, it was really annoying.

quicksilver has been shown to stop time. like during the cutscene where dante first gets it and against the quicksilver boss you get it from. it just doesnt during actual gameplay cause well... thats OP as hell

Quick silver quite literally stops time in cutscenes. Its nerfed in gameplay mechanics to not make the game too easy but when he uses it in cutscenes it literally freezes shit in place. U literally see him freeze falling rocks in place when he aquires the ability my guy

In the Bayonetta games to activate Witch time you dodge an attack at the last second and in the fight every time it was activated Bayo dodged something I really like that attention to detail. This fight mostly happened because Bayonetta is a spiritual successor to Devil may cry by a company founded by ex employees who worked on Devil may cry at a time when Capcom wasn't doing the series justice. Devil may cry 5 was released not too long ago and is actually very good so Capcom finally got their act together with the series by now at least. The conclusion's accurate though I love Bayo as a character but Dante literally kills demons on a similar level to the one Bayo gets her power from fairly frequently so he definitely wins this.

The company that made bayonetta only made devil may cry 1 and that game is the 4th most popular dmc game so no, the person who picked up the series after the original creator left did a way better job with the only flop they had being dmc 2. The rebooted dmc wasnt made by capcom and was scrapped which is why dmc 5 was created. Dmc 3, 4 and 5 are more popular than dmc 1 which is the game made by the creators of bayonetta with dmc 2 being the worst game in the series after the rebooted game

Hey! I'm so glad you loved this episode so much. I know as much about those two as you do and this absolutely stands as an amazing example of how great death battle is as a show. Even if you have no connection to the characters, this is a huge highlight episode. Also yeah, bowser fights his zelda counterpart, ganondorf. That'll be a fun bit on some kind of missed episode session once you're through and into the games/series you've avoided spoilers on, but no stress on it not being there right now.

The 3D Animator from Season 2 onwardswas Torrian Crawford. This was more or less his dream fight. Apparently, the writers had planned a much shorter fight and the show's director wanted it cut down for budget, but Torrian just couldn't help himself but add in everything he could think of to make it the best fight it could be. Other fights this season did end up suffering a bit in budget due to this trade-off, though (the most notable being Shadow vs. Mewtwo, which unfortunately had to be cut by almost a full minute).

Mundus created a whole entire universe to fight Dante in (confirmed by the creative director) In DMC5 Dante defeated Urizen, which had the same power as Mundus as he ate the same fruit. Dante did this (possibly) in base form in cannon, even if he was to use Sin DT, to quote him "What's the matter Vergil? This is no time to hold back." As if this universe level behemoth in front of him literally isn't giving him enough of a challenge he assumes he's holding back or something. He's literally insinuating that Vergil used to give him more trouble, yet he's literally universe level right now, how even. He's at least universal, and probably then some. That isn't even counting his lightspeed reaction time, teleportation, the fact he's literally indestructible in royal guard having mastered it in cannon, a healing factor so fast he heals wounds before they fully open, or cloning at all (plus 1,000,000 other things but we'd be here all day and those are his most impressive) Bayonetta's most impressive feat by far is killing Jubileus, yes, but she died by being punched into the Sun. You know for the creator of all things, a single shot into a star insta-killed her, she really wasn't that durable. That and if she truly was universal or beyond in the fight, she'd just have erased Bayo, or just annihilated her with a universe sized explosion, or even a planet sized one given a fraction of her power could destroy the moon instantly, but she didn't, either because she's an idiot, or just isn't that strong. The issue here is you cannot compare the two, Bayonetta is meant to struggle, her story is kinda tragic. Dante, while his backstory being sad, isn't written to really struggle unless you look into underlying themes, it's how they're written, any time Dante has been challenged even a little, he just gets a new DT and takes a giant shit on everything in the game from that point on. He isn't meant to lose, hell he hardly has a equal besides Vergil, and Dante has won more than lost against him. Though DMC5 did seem to put them as equals so who knows.

Actually it pretty much was because Lucifer is a high rank demon next to Mundus because of that three eye mark and the strength its rapiers/darts have, even Mundus's Son Berial can't stand a chance against it and the more of these things you impale into enemies, the stronger the explosion will be because if you stick alot of these in a Bosses' hide, alot of their health will be depleted.

Lot of these aren’t necessarily fair fights, they’re more of rivals. The people they have fight fill similar roles in their media world, come from similar genres, or were just box office rivals. These are fights against characters who have some reason to be similar to eachother, or who are often paired together in conflict. Like Goku and Superman, both being childhood icons. Nothing is fair really especially with Lucifer, it's a high rank demon with that three-eyed mark on its forehead and the rapiers/darts are extremely powerful if you impale many into the hide of an enemy including a boss, Bayonetta is like the Lesser Demons but more of a mortal so Lucifer was easily able to kill her.

Yes one of my favorite fights!!!! Also devil may cry is a God tier game in my opinion. Every game but DMC:devil may cry (it's the dragon ball evolution of devil may cry) also there's a devil may cry anime. Bayonetta I haven't played nearly as much of but from what I've played it's pretty good. And the absolute banger of the background music is called "find you" by anarchy reigns.

@@murasaika2776 she did make a huge debut on the wii with her second game? or was it her first. either way dante to my knowledge has no appeared on a nintendo console in 1-4. i know they bring in characters who aren't a part of the nintendo legacy but it's usually to bring in some very popular characters. Devil may cry as a series sadly isn't as popular as some of the others. is it an amazing series yeah, but sadly they've sealed dante's fate with the last raster slot being announced alongside dante's additional as a mii swordsman.

You should totally check out Devil May Cry and Bayonetta... Well, I'm not sure the best way to play the DMC games right now... I'm sure someone could tell you though... If you have a Switch, I think both Bayonetta games are on that... I think all the games are on PC, but I'm not sure how good the ports are... Early DMC games are a bit rough by today's standards... I'd be tempted to say start at DMC3, it's a prequel anyway... Maybe try the first and second after, but feel free to watch a let's play or something if you don't enjoy them lol. 4 is probably worth playing, especially the special edition, and I hear DMC 5 is really good, but you might be even more lost with the story if you start at 5... Not that the story makes too much sense anyway lol. There was also a DMC reboot inbetween 4 and 5... I think the latest version is deemed reasonable lol Has some cool ideas, but I dunno... Either way they seemed to go back to the old story afterwards... Many aren't a fan, but who knows? Many liked it still.

I only watched bayonetta videos but it seems most of the people she fights are angels or people that work for them where as danta fights demons . As for that rose that is one of his devil weapons. He throws blades charged with magic and on his command or if he throws the rose 🌹 the blades explode like a small remote bomb. Good video

They also severely downplayed dante by only using his low end feats. When in reality at the time this video was made dante was universal+ to low multiversal in terms of strength and durability and massively faster than light in term of speed. And at with DMC 5 he is now definitely low multiversal

Like if Dante can move at light speed or can take universal level attacks how does he get shot in the head (just on the fact the bullet moves at 1500 mps around and Dante can react 199,00x faster than that) or really how is anything able to hurt him throughout most of his games? Also when your saying someone is universal your saying they can cause an explosion that can spread 93 billion light years which I seen like 3 franchises that visually show characters of that power. If Dante is this powerful, like all of DMC 4 probably shouldn't of happened if you think about it. Also anywhere he fought seriously at would just be a giant crater just due to movement alone. Another issue is people tend to say a guy that can stop a multiversal enemy scales to multiversal level which isn't always true. I can think of a few characters like that that can die from some pretty mundane means. You also run into problems with, I don't know, for want of a better word, hyperbole. Just going to use Warhammer 40K for example. There is a lot of instances in there of normal humans (as in no superpowers or tech assistance) blocking laser fire out of mid are with you can take as meaning they are moving at light speed. Batman is kind of infamous at this in my opinion. There is so many instances of him doing superhuman feats where he's not suppose to be super human.

I just realised .they based the devil may cry on the legendary real life Dante. The real life Dante has been said to have faced all of hell with his equally famous brother Vergil. Their father was more powerful and started the uprising in hell. When Dante wanted to challenge hell he didn’t hold back. He has fought the generals of hell, tricked demons into safe passage, and used devil trigger on only real challenges like Belial. Point is the real life legendary Dante, isn’t someone to fuck with unless you want certain death.

Yeah you should definitely play DMC5 if any DMC game is ever to be played. It has a history of DMC section that goes over the franchise up to that point and honestly has the best combination of story, gameplay, and characters of the series. Also hands down you'll want to dress up as Nero. There may or may not be a few intentionally unintentional puns there. Also the character themes are all great. Well except Dantes unless you listen to the Little V Mills cover. He has great themes in every other game but he falls a little flat in 5. But that doesn't stop him from being goofy and enjoyable when you hear him being surfer cool dude. Literally Qrow if you replaced the alcohol coping for depression with Pizza and ice cream.

My original guess was Bayonetta, but only because I have a bias and have actually played those games. If I'm right, both of these games are made by the same studio. Anyway, VA Fun Fact! I don't got much for you, as I don't know any of these VAs. But, the voice of Jeanne, Bayonetta's Rival/Friend, is Dawn M. Bennett.
