I bought mine two weeks ago and love it! Imust have watched very video on it twice, then decided to buy one. I still go out to the garage every night to make sure it's not a dream.

Had mine for a month now, already have 2000km on it (1250 miles) and my daily commute to work is like 5km round trip. I went out to drive it for 2h almost daily the first two weeks and I still go out to get take-out and ride for over an hour. I can't get enough of it.

@@Highlander1432 My building has lvl2 chargers so I usually charge overnight. Charges the same rate as the regular Ioniq 5 but with a slightly bigger battery. The DC charging I've done was about 20 minutes from 40-80% but that was at around 150kwh charging speed. The car can do up to 350kwh but we don't have such fast chargers in most places. It's still among the fastest charging EVs out there.

Speed limit warning has a buffer you can adjust, in Germany it's 10 km/h. And then it also doesn't beep, it's only blinking in the display. So I don't bother and don't need to turn it off with a custom button (EV6 GT Germany)

the cool idea of yours is one I also had and what would frustrate me about owning this car is it got so close to the idea but failed to take that last. step and fully implement it. Sound packs recorded in binaural from various classic cars, and exact torque curve reproductions. It would be amazing. Lock it down to a corolla simulation when handing the keys to your kid. Too clever by far (not you, the car) for its own good. I'm so glad you didn't crash when you were tempted to fiddle even more with the plethora of driver settings. It probably is good value for money especially when compared to its European equivalent, model suggestions here please. Finally, Tim has managed to escape the "circa £45k value for money car" millstone and found a "circa £65k possibly good value for money car" one.

The set-up is the equivalent of doing race set-up in a garage, spanners and computer connected, but instead on your 'inbuilt laptop" on the dash. Once set, you have your favourite two set-ups available at the press of one the steering wheel. Perfect if you ask me... PS: switching off speed limit warning is one long press on the steering wheel mute button.

Funny how heavy cars have now become normalised because it suits legislation. I vividly recall the likes of Mercedes being vilified in the 90s for building cars of the same mass. Now we have family cars of the same weight and the roads, oddly enough, will struggle. Good vid, lovely scenery, good production. As for the car, meh. Sad fact though, this is the same comment I’ve posted in two vids this evening. EVs weighing 2.2 tonnes cannot be the future, not if we want our roads to remain in one piece… A big Merc, or a Cayenne per your example is still relatively rare. But this EV ‘evolution’ is sending us off in utterly the wrong direction.

That last comment would be credible if you didn't prefere it to a Mach-e which is a bit taller and longer ;). From the comments of laymen, most people don't realise its size even standing next to it, suprised on how roomy it is inside. It's just car folks looking too much at pics thinking it's a 205 that think its big irl.

@Gdank72
@Gdank72 4 ай бұрын
Most EV's will do 0-60 in 7 Seconds or less. Therefore any small car with an EV motor will feel faster than Fiesta ST due to the instant torque. Hell even my little MG EV4 SE (that's the entry model) felt nippy. A Tesla Model 3 Performance second hand would be the same new and dwarf anything. Renault are doing the 5 again ... and while the launch models will be faster than the 80's originals, they will probably end up doing a GT (Turbo?) model. Don't worry about EV's not being fun or accessible.

@@Highlander1432 no, it is an overweight, overpowered and overpriced electric tank for ppl who can't drive; EVanghelists and EV zealots, as with every other EV, think it is the best thing invented, after tap water; in reality, it is just an understeery tank with the range of a soap balloon and zero real characteristics of a real driver's car! Let me ask you one question: do you think you are the one that drives the car around a corner?(hint: it isn't you, it is a computer that decided how the corner will happen because that's what cars with full wheel vectoring does, when the computer can decide 1000 times per second with which speed that corner will be taken; you're not the driver, you're just a passenger believing he is "the captain at the helm") there is a big difference to a driver's car; a driving enthusiast wouldn't be caught dead in such a pretender. In the end, it is about what type of person you are; if your ego is fragile and want to be "the boss" at the traffic lights in your mobile phone on wheels or you want to really drive a car and put in the effort in learning how to drive, learning ho to drive 'it' and getting the real satisfaction, based on your own set of skills, with each spirited drive you take.
