What a brilliant idea. I save envelopes from junk mail for this sort of thing. You crafty ladies are always coming up with clever uses for them so I just keep them, knowing a use will pop up now and then. Fabulous idea. I am always looking for smaller quick projects. Sometimes I only have 15 minutes, sometimes a bit more. This will be great to try for when I have a bit more time, but not long enough to do a journal.or when I just don't want to work in a journal.

I love this idea. I've made little 'folders' like that before...not really even knowing what I'd use them for...but they were fun and complete in short time. I love how you made the phone cord. It's little touches like that, that make your work so special. ❤

I feel the same way about a big journal. It takes me so long so I give up for months at a time and then I return to it after a long time later. I recently started crafting mini art books I made myself. I do love your idea of these pocket/envelope art pages. I'll give it a try too.

No rules saying you have to do big books- There are sooooooo many options. Mini journals are amazingly rewarding and adorable. Mid-size folio-style journals are pretty fast…ahhhhhh (nearly) instant gratification 🤗🤗🤗😎

She’s another Mixed Media artist. She uses old books too, and glues her pages together, 2-3 at a time, rather than cutting out book pages.

What a great idea and when you get enough of these made up, then you can make some type of container or journal cover to house these pages, in which these can be the pages of your art journal. This way it won’t be so intimidating how many pages are here or not because you can decide after the fact. You can even have several volumes - or if you wanted to keep these as a mini journal and keep them Separate then you could create a box that they slide into standing up that look like a book and the spine is what you see first but when you pull the “book” off the shelf, that’s when people realize it is a box that is housing all of the mini journals inside. (I picture like a row of boxes designed to look like a set of encyclopedias standing on a shelf). You really are an amazing crafter!! ❤️☺️

If you’re burned out on making journal’s it’s completely understandable. I think switching things up and using different materials is a fantastic idea! I really love your mixed media creations. This is a wonderful idea. I paint watercolor when my brain need a paus, from journals. I also do artjournalpages, to put in an ordinary journals. So, do use them in your journals, as they are so nice.👍🏻👏🏻😄

This idea is brilliant. Thank you for sharing it. I love that you recycle paper and come up with alternatives for your craft supplies. I am a mixed media creator working on a personal art journal right now. I think I'll have to create some mini envelopes to include in my journal and some to give away. It always feels good to share my work, especially with someone who is not expecting it, like a 'person in the grocery store, someone at the doctor's office, or a neighbor. LOVE this so much. I get overwhelmed and kinda bored with a typical journal and I’m ready to move on to the next thing which causes anxiety because then I feel like I can’t finish any projects. Your envelope art page may be perfect for me! They’re so creative too!!!

Tiz’ easy to get overwhelmed with all possibilities in the wonderful world of junk journal making- for sure!! What helps me is to set up some “rules” - like only using three colors, or sticking with a specific theme, only using just five tools- these “challenges” make decision making a bit easier. Also, maybe creating smaller, easier to finish projects like these would help too. Important to enjoy the process- otherwise what’s the point? 😎
