Finally someone who loves to journal as much as I do. 90% of videos on here seem to be about bullet journaling only and people do nothing but write lists etc. but there’s actually not much text on their pages. Love this.

I'm stunned by the beauty of this book and the way you treasure and love every little thing. At the same time I'm a bit sad and also angry that you seem to give things up very easily. If I wanted to see a broadway show there, then I'd save up for that in advance. If I'd want to move there I'd search for a job and not wait until it magically appears. I know that life isn't that easy and there are many responsibilities. But please don't wait too long for things to happen on their own and try to actively do stuff. It's of course easy for me to say that and I really don't mean to be hard on you in any way. It's just that you seem so grateful and nice that I think you deserve what you wish for. So try to go after it no matter what life throws at you. I know you can do it - we all can ❤

That is AMAZING! Where do you even start!?! I've always wanted to do something like this but never knew where to begin. Do you journal and take notes in another notebook and then when you got back you put this together? I am a native New Yorker. I grew up on Long Island but spent a lot of time in the city, so I know all about the traffic. I live in Albany now but we do get to visit the city at least once a year. I think the museums are my favorite, they are all wonderful. I do miss the pizza and bagels. Glad you had such a good time and you are right, there is just so much to see. I really enjoyed looking through your journal, thanks for sharing.

John Ruiz Thanks so much for watching! My hubby and I are actually going back in a few weeks, it was a surprise Christmas gift, and I am SO excited! I would collect menus, pamphlets, receipts, business cards, etc. while we were out....then either that evening, or early the next morning I would Journal about what we did/saw, gluing in everything. That way it was fresh in my mind. This trip in a few weeks will make for an even bigger, better journal and I can’t wait!!!!

Hi! You know, you’re the first person to ask that lol. That’s a very good question, a lot of times if I don’t have enough space that’s when I’ll use hidden journaling. If I have too much space, I’ll fill it in with stickers or post cards, ephemera. Thanks for watching!!

Looks good. My first trip to NY, I kept everything and took over 100 pics. I forgot to upload the pics to my computer and then my phone crashed. The photos are either lost forever or stuck in that phone. I want them out soooo bad, but the card is not removable. If I ever get the pics out, I will make a journal. I have all the ephemera ready to go into it, :-(. Hope I find a solution. TFS yours with us.

Btw, there is nothing junky about your journal. LOL. I am so glad you were smitten with NYC. I was born, raised in Brooklyn and continue to live in Queens, NY. What really touched me was that you actually stayed in Queens and visited Staten Island as many tourist tend to be Manhattan centered. Good for you! You have inspired me to finally buckle down and make a travel journal for a trip I took about 7 years ago to London and Paris; I have a huge box of ephemera I collected and I journaled every day. I even kept track of how many steps I took each day I was there. I'm guessing I feel as grateful for that experience as you expressed for your NY experience. Thanks so much for all the great layout inspiration.

Hi! I just stumbled across this video while looking up some travel journal inspiration for my trip to Toronto next month... I'm from Staten Island, born and raised, and I loved your book! It's really cool to see my city through the eyes of somebody else, and I think it's great that you spent so much time in Queens because most visitors never even leave Manhattan. Wasn't expecting to hear Sunnyside and Jamaica when I clicked! I bought a few supplies today to create my own traveler's notebook inserts, but now I'm loving the full notebook idea. I fly on September 1st, so I'll have to act fast on which size I want to do! Thanks for the inspiration, your book looks amazing! Hope you get to visit us again soon :]

hi! a fellow journaler here! (on my other channel, that is). I love love love this journal, I live close to NYC so I go quite often but I love it so much as well. I just wanted to put out there that there are a lot of ways to get very discounted Broadway tickets, there's an app called TodayTix, as well as the TKTS booth in Times Square, and rush lines. I'd definitely google any of those if you want more information, so that way if you ever go back and want to see a show you can for cheap! I'm talking like $30-40/ticket for some shows. I'm a huge broadway nerd and have seen tons of shows using these resources myself. just something to think about! have a lovely day!

Lindsey, that was an amazing tribute - I really could tell how much the trip meant to you and I really enjoyed seeing everything you saved. Being from NJ I forget what an iconic place NYC is, whenever I have to go I almost dread it... I forget how magnificent the city can be Be well and hope you get to go back.... If you do and want to see a show try just going to the theater before showtime - unsold tickets can be a lot better. You do have to wait in line at the box office but you might even save half... It might not work out but at least you have a shot at getting a good price Tracy

So funny, I did an internship in Plymouth last summer for a wedding planning/ floral design company. I'm from the Bloomfield/Birmingham area 😊 I will definitely be saving everything. I now plan on bringing a little pouch with post it's and a pen so I can throw everything in there while I'm in NYC and at least have some notes about the items if I don't have the time to document as I go.

New subbie here! I live in NYC (Astoria,Queens) born in Brooklyn and I love my city and I love hearing how much you love it too! It's great seeing it through someone else's eyes, I have not been able to go to see the Freedom Tower yet its still so emotional to me even though I didn't loose anyone its still so hard. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself and I hope you will visit again! I think you did an awesome job on your journal. Tfs, Kay
