I would’ve told her the price. I mean me and my mom have a bad relationship. She was rude to me as a child and she always acted like a big btch. So I wouldn’t let her use it and I probably would’ve called her out. But if she was nice I definitely wouldn’t care. But like still I just absolutely hate it when people take stuff without my permission. Like just ask to use the perfume is it that hard?

@@kevinn1452 …because a lot of them came to the west with very little and had to be frugal to get by, and many of them grew up with little as well. it is about not making them feel bad because they often can’t stomach the idea of spending that much money on themselves or taking that much from their child.

If you apply a quality perfume and can't smell it a little while later...DO NOT REAPPLY!! You can't smell it but everyone else can. Any perfume that fits you will lose its smell to you, but it is still there for everyone else. I dont know why, it just is. I have 2 scents I wear that I can't smell after about 20 minutes but people tell me I smell great. I think the more it matches you, the less you smell it.

Yeah pretty much what the other person said. Our bodies tend to notice new or foreign smells better then ones we are constantly in or around. Example. Going to someone else house a noticing their house smells a certain way. Because it’s a new environment, your nose/smell is sending signals to your brain that this is new and it’s up to your brain to interpret if it’s a good or bad smell. On the hand when your in an environment for so long or around particular scents. You can become “nose blind” to the scents around you that somebody might notice more when first smelling it.

Tell your mom the scent is not going away, it’s just called nose blindness, its your nose tuning out the distracting scent - kind of like what your brain does when you’re in a loud place or cafe doing work, and the background noise gets less distracting. Also, it’s not a subtle scent, it’s a powerful sugary punch that I can smell days later on clothing, so don’t spray too much, other people can still smell it!

@@pxmens9430 I don’t think it applies to all fragrances though, some are just weak and fade quickly thus needing reapplication. However as OP said its especially common w fragrances like BR540 for people to become anosmic to it at any time, likely due to the bulky and heavy molecules used in the aroma chemicals (iinw!) Some cant smell it at all and some only smell certain notes, resulting in polarised views towards it. So this is a different issue from weak performance which is a valid and separate concern. BR540 lasts agesss on me though especially on clothes, so worth it!

The statement you've provided is not entirely accurate. The phenomenon of not being able to smell a perfume on oneself after a while is primarily due to a process called olfactory adaptation or olfactory fatigue, rather than the brain perceiving foreign smells as a distraction. Here's a more accurate explanation: 1. Olfactory Adaptation: When you're exposed to a particular smell for an extended period, your olfactory receptors become less responsive to that scent. This is a protective mechanism to prevent the brain from being overwhelmed by constant input. As a result, your brain effectively filters out the odor, making it less noticeable or even imperceptible. This is why you might not notice the perfume you're wearing after a while. 2. Delusion About Perfume Effectiveness: The idea that not smelling your own perfume means it's perfect for you is not scientifically supported. It's a common misconception. Perfume preferences are highly subjective and can vary greatly from person to person. Additionally, the ability to perceive a scent depends on factors such as the concentration of the fragrance, individual sensitivity to specific odor molecules, and even the environment in which the perfume is worn. So, the main reason for not smelling your perfume after a while is olfactory adaptation, not the brain perceiving foreign smells as a distraction. Additionally, the effectiveness of a perfume for an individual is not determined by whether they can smell it on themselves but rather by their personal preferences and how the scent interacts with their body chemistry.

DOESN'T mean it's the perfect scent for them. Your brain will get used to even garbage if you keep spraying yourself with it everyday. That's just how brain works. It's called "getting used to". Reminds me of when I was younger and I would do this with my dad's $300 bottle of Creed by Aventus. The thing is, I was in high-school and I didn't need 8 sprays from an expensive cologne. I just didn't know it was $300. My dad would never tell me anything or get upset. It did get me noticed by my girlfriend at the time though, so it worked in my favor 😅

I got it for Christmas last year. At first I wasn’t sure how I felt about the scent, but now I’m obsessed! Plus, I always get compliments when I’m wearing it. The scent does seem to fade as the day goes, but you can still smell hints of it even hours after applying. And you can only apply a little at a time, because too much can be overpowering. The only issue now is that I love it so much, and it being as expensive as it is, I’m out of luck. Betting on Christmas again! lol 😂 TOTALLY RECOMMEND, but USE SPARINGLY!! ❤

Everyone’s body chemistry is different. It’s the reason the same perfume smells different on different people. That is also true for how long a perfume‘stays’ on someone. My grandmother, daughter and I all have a short ‘smell life’. We also clear anesthesia at twice the rate as others. That one is a problem since we have woken up during operations. Good thing they were like for removing wisdom teeth and biopsies and not major surgery! Oh, caffeine also puts us to sleep. Why couldn’t I have my grandmother’s body build or deep blue eyes?

The body wash bottle actually looked so elegant and pretty they thought it was lotion 💀 they loved the smell so much they applied the “lotion” all over their face and arms to a wedding they were going to. Not knowing they actually just put on body wash all over their body and didn’t rinse it off😭 they later came back home and realized when trying to wash off their makeup how soapy it was and they were so glad they weren’t sweaty or anything at the wedding 😂😂 imagine all the bubbles like they were showering or something mid wedding
