they don't use playback. in the more complicated choreographies they use backing tracks, but still sing. Kpop groups are generally trained to sing while dancing. so they have really really great vocal and breathing control. comes with a lot of practice.

True...they have been singing live since day1🤴🏻💜 But I've seen so many ppl saying that how using playback instead of singing live is so common in kpop. And I've seen quite a few grps who don't sing live at all or use heavy/autotuned playbacks n very minimum live singing. Saying "kpop idols have been trained to sing live while dancing" feels so ironic to me. (Except few kpop grps/soloists)

If you react to the live performances you will see that they totally sing during the dance( They have backing tracks and choirs in the complicated choreography, but they always sing, their vocal stability is amazing. At the concerts they are totally live. I think in Korea it is law sing 90% live, only choral tracks and melodic base) As for your selection of songs, I found it interesting. The first two are from BTS's Map of the Soul 7 concept album in which the members worked together and alone on their journey through their art and as people, from the perspective of the Archetypes of the collective unconscious "Shadow" and "Ego".You will have observed in the first two MV the lights and shadows, the balcos and blacks, nothing is to the czar in his artistic production

For Black Swan, the location they filmed is called Los Angeles Theater in Los Angeles, California. It first opened its doors back in 1931.

They don't sing live during music videos, but they always sing live in live performances while dancing (and do it very well). For the ON video, you might be interested to know that the girl front and centre at the very beginning of the MV is the choreographer of the piece. Her name is Sienna Lalau and she was 19 when she choreographed this masterpiece. Black Swan and ON were both filmed in LA...there are "behind the scene" videos for both to show the making of the music videos. RM was the first member of BTS, but he didn't put the group together...it was put together by the CEO of BigHit Entertainment at the time named Bang Shi Hyuk (also called Bang PD or Hitman Bang). RM falls right in the middle as far as ages go...3 other members are older than him and 3 are younger, but he is the leader and incredibly mature. Jimin (the dancer in Black Swan) has formal training in contemporary dance in high school. He definitely shone bright in that MV and it's incredibly artistic. All the pop culture posters etc in the room at the beginning of Dynamite are setting the tone for the retro feel of the song....it's a 70s disco pop track (although some of the posters are pre-70s) which pays lots of tributes in the dance and lyrics to Michael Jackson (MJ's nephew thanked them for all the nods to his uncle). ON and Black Swan are very deep lyrically and based on Jungian theory (shadow, etc) whereas Dynamite was meant to be a light mood lifter early in the pandemic. I think you and your mom would love reacting to a KZbin docu-series about BTS called "The Rise of Bangtan" ...it's an incredibly informative video about their journey starting as trainees and it's the best thing out there about them. I agree, everyone's different and therefore are going to attract to different people. To me, RM's absolutely gorgeous! When I watch BTS, my eyes are drawn directly to RM, so of course he is my bias! I think all of these men are beautiful and different and we shouldn't label any of their looks negatively.

ON manifesto wasnt a Live performance, for an audience at least. Otherwise we would have seen microphones in hand or at the mouth. They were not on STAGE. There must have been a track THROUGHOUT the performance as is the case when shooting an MV, even though this is not an official MV. We can say it is MV2? RM did not create the group BTS. Dynamite by BTS was produced by a Brtisher David Steward. It has funk, soul and pop elements. It was also a tribute to Michael Jackson and acknowledged by his family who never fail to tweet about them on some imp occasions. It has nothing to do with Kpop. Their loss of interest might be due to personal reasons or due to the overburden n negative aspects of being idols. 12:17-13:00 damn u were so on point about RM. He indeed is the best leader out there...n definitely the first one to catch ur attention if ur new to BTS. Edit: RM didn't created or founded the grp. He was the first one to become a trainee for BTS in 2010 n then other 19 joined him. At the end,only he along with rest of the 6 members made it to the BTS as a complete grp n he became the leader. But there were times when bighit was contemplating whether to keep some of members in the grp or not (V n jimin) n when some members willingly wanted to leave the grp b4 debut(jungkook n jhope)...but RM played a major role in persuading both the company n the members. He held the grp in a way. But yeah...its not wrong to say that he did created the grp indirectly.

you've not reacted to BTS's more rap/hiphop heavy songs. Perhaps you should, to gain a little more insight to BTS's diversity. Their roots lie in hiphop. They were originally formed as a hiphop group specifically because they have very skilled rappers, but their skills aren't showcased in their more viral songs like the ones you've reacted to. Their rap/hiphop songs are VERY different than anything you've reacted to so far. Not sure if you know this or not, but RM and Suga were former well-known underground rappers as teens, prior to BTS. One rap-heavy BTS song is called Born Singer, it's their own version of Born Sinner by J Cole. It's like 80% rapping. No music vid, but you can react to a color-coded lyric vid, and then follow it up with this great live performance: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bpS4gmaie5iShZo To hear them go REALLY heavy into rap, you need to go into their rap-line songs. The 3 rappers have their own sub-unit where they only do rap songs together. You can start with their Cyphers #1 - #4. They wrote those Cyphers in response to the large amount of hate and criticisms they were getting, especially during their beginning years. RM and Suga were especially shit on by underground rappers because they left underground rap to join BTS. No music vids for their Cyphers, so react to color-coded lyric vids for each of them. Each of the 3 rappers also wrote and produced his own solo mixtapes. They spent millions of dollars to do their rap solo work and released everything for free. Here are some suggestions for their mixtapes, Suga goes by his alter ego Agust D when he does his solo rap work: - Joke by RM - Do You by RM - Moonchild by RM - Daechwita by Agust D - Agust D by Agust D - The Last by Agust D - Daydream by J-Hope - Baseline by J-Hope - Airplane by J-Hope Hope you'll take my suggestions and foray into their rap/hiphop songs, it will definitely show you an entirely different side of BTS.

Dynamite is their first all-English song. That’s why it’s a bigger hit than On and Black Swan. But personally I prefer their Korean songs coz they have got way more depth. Basically one must look at their entire discography to learn what amazing artists BTS are. But of course all their English songs are pop songs of the highest level that are sooooo good to enjoy. The English songs also came out during the pandemic and quite intentionally meant to be these happy fun songs that cheer everyone up.

ON wasn't a live peformance.... It was a dance performance of the song as their concert was cancelled due to covid. They also have another MV to this song. It's called - ON Official MV. For their live performance check out the grand central station performance. They train on treadmills while singing to get voice stability and train up to 16hr /day for performances. I wonder if she meant RM was just not the best looking in the group, not in general? Of course everyone has different opinions on who is the best looking among them. I tend to believe they ALL are better looking than about 99.9% of the rest of the population and that’s conservative based on the fact that in my almost half century on this planet I have not seen better looking men anywhere else. Lol They are all gorgeous in their own ways. She did say she thought Jin was the best looking in the previous video, but I find it hard to rank them. Her opinions may well change over time too. Try not to take it too much to heart, but I get it. When a bunch of losers years back were tweeting saying Hobi was ugly and talentless and should be kicked out of the group, that broke my heart for him. I totally disagree of course, but why do people have to be so mean? At different times I have seen people diss them all for their looks and I tend to think they might need to have an eye exam lol. I don't think it's too much to ask that people stop judging looks ALL THE TIME, especially when you get to a certain age in life (I'm older than her, so I feel I can speak to that regard). Because of her age, I was very shocked at the comment. I kind of expect to hear that from a younger person who hasn't matured enough to know that everyone is unique and beautiful and that everyone has different taste. Just because YOU may think the person's not good looking, doesn't mean that somebody else doesn't. I'm not sure if they pay any attention to the comments, but if she did see this hopefully she'll keep that in mind next time because she could have made the comment about RM without dissing his looks. There is so much content about this group if she ever wants to do a more in depth research about them . Of course there some articles that Army felt were disrespectful but I’ll leave that up to the individual to decide. About Dynamite though.. I’m curious to know what you meant by “radio produced” Are you referring to all pop songs written and released for “radio play?” This song was entirely written by western writers David Stewart and Jessica Agombar but written for BTS . You can read these writers own words on how they came to write it. The only producer credited for this is David Stewart. It’s sung entirely in English and the melody and beats are entirely disco retro pop. The only Korean element is the nationality of the singers. So ya we do continuously wonder why Dynamite Butter and Permission To dance are still referred to as Kpop. This is not a criticism of your comments at all ..Just a point of view on this one issue that’s all. It’s continuously being debated so I respect everyone’s right to their opinions. 🙏☺️💜

And by live performances I think Army in general, mean those held in Asian Award Ceremonies or TV shows. There's such a big difference in how they're produced. The dynamics, the camera shots. Those performances on American shows are quite lame and low budget, and not up to the standard we're used to experience. Your mom liked the theater in Black Swan, all I know is it's in L.A. BTS lyricism n msg play the most imp.role for making them stand out the most from any other artists in this world. Its better if u pay attrntion to lyrics as well...that would make u connect to BTS better n fall in the BTS blackhole faster. The On MV was not done in one take, but there are live performances of this song where you can see them do the whole song and choreo in one go. BTS does have one MV that was done in one take for their Save Me song. Since you're interested in how they film, you can watch behind the scenes videos on their BangtanTV channel. Search for the song title plus "Shooting Sketch" to find these videos.

They have been singing live since day1...even with such intense choreos. They hit every note so perfectly. Ofcourse the song is playbacked but its only about 10-20%...very minimum. Rest all is live. In concerts n in some music shows,they do sing live 100%. For rest its either 10-20% playback n rest live or 0% playback n 0%live bcoz they don't bother to attend those shows.😂 Edit: in official MVs there's no live singing ofcourse...or else how it can be a MV?? Its a performance on a pre-recorded studio version of the song.

All mvs are playback that's how they are made. Everyone should know this. Obviously live is a different matter BTS sing live no question.. but an mv is always filmed using playback because that's just how its done.
