Also will the lemon juice for canning affect the flavor?

@KerrieImlay Great question! I would rinse the stain in cold water until it's as flushed out as possible, then scrub it with Dawn dish soap. If there's still some left, you can use white vinegar to try and get the last bits out, then was in the machine like normal. Also, the lemon juice adds a bit of extra flavor, but it's honestly not enough to really notice. I think the heat of canning neutralizes most of it.
