I have been to the island a couple times, and you are right it’s beyond beautiful. I love that there is only bicycles or horse and buggy as transportation, and I remember the fudge shops! Yum

We visited Mackinac Island in October and I fell in love with this gorgeous piece of heaven. Can’t wait to go back - would love to go in the spring as this video shows such beauty. Definitely would recommend it to anyone that wants to step back in time.

Reminds me a little of Wolfeboro, NH. The oldest summer resort in America. You should put it on your bucket list of places to visit. I like September there the best!

I was born and raised in lower Michigan, all my family still lives there, except for me because I now live in Wisconsin. When I was a child, our family visited Mackinaw City and the Island every year! I loved the island, but never appreciated the gorgeous homes, landscaping and the nostalgic atmosphere like I have as an adult! It is still one of my favorite places to visit, it never gets old! It's time for another trip there! 😊 Thank you for sharing your visit!!

It’s my favorite place in the world…have been there about 10-12 times. When I was married we went every year for our anniversary. Have you ever seen “Somewhere In Time”…Christopher Reeves & Jane Seymour starred in it. It was filmed there. My most favorite movie! If followed some of the trails, there’s an amazing cemetery. Hoping to go again this summer. Thank you for reminding me of how amazing this s place is!❤❤

A Michigander here. The Mackinac area (on and off the island) is a great place to spend time exploring. Our state has so many unique and beautiful places to see and experience. We have a gorgeous state!
