I dont think car loans are bad as long as you actually have the money in the bank. Dave makes rants for people with poor self control. Most people have reasonable financial literacy

Congrats! I hate dealerships so i completely agree with you Carvana is awesome. Even if you're paying a little more it's for the peace of mind and seamless transaction. No time wasted and you get exactly want you wanted.

All 3 credit agencies for my credit are above 725. Carvana is STILL "offering" me 13% APR!!!

Try a credit union. Or small bank.

Congrats on the new ride. Refinancing is your friend. Unless you just feel good about paying higher interest, just refinance the vehicle. Doesn't matter if you are paying it off in two years or four. Your rate should have been almost half of what it is currently. Deciding to be willfully ignorant is different than being completely oblivious. All the best to you.

Glad you are paying it off in 2 years. Yes, financially, it's not optimal to be taking a loan out on anything above current US Treasury rates; certainly something I wouldn't do myself. But you are right, it's not my money.

I have pretty much the same car as this - same colour, unmodified, one previous owner, Jan 2020 with 7,770 miles when I bought it 2 months ago. I just did the UK pounds to dollars conversion and came out a bit lower at $48k. Took quite a while to find it. Very very pleased with it, and wanted that exact car for the same reasons - I wanted something a bit unique, desirable, powerful, engaging - and it is all these things and more. After I first test drove it, I remember saying to friends afterwards that everybody should experience a car like that - beg, steel, borrow - just do it because it's worth it! If it had wings it would be a fighter jet I'm sure. I was in a position to put 50% down, and then financed the other half at 4.65% for 4 years, but same as you, I'm aiming to pay it off early. The only reason I didn't buy it in full is because my investments (US S&P + Tech stocks) are absolutely flying at the moment and I didn't want to sell them. Getting back to the car - I needed a toy in my life! I'm probably about your age - well, maybe a little older, but I wanted to experience this car while I'm still just about young enough to enjoy it, and old enough to afford it. It was now, or never.

I’m considering an M2 Comp. Just wondering if it has known reliability issues. Otherwise I’d take it all day. Excited for your journey!

@@emirashraf Whenever you are buying any car. Especially German cars you will run into some issues. That is why when buying any car try and get one that was taken care of. Make sure they did all the the schedule of maintenance that is highly important whenever it comes to German sports cars

You could have gotten 5.5 percent from a credit union..
@kuvyoghmoobamelica688310 күн бұрын
Nah, with an M2 competition, you ain't getting 5.5 for a used one. You might get 5.5 for a Tundra, but not an M2 Comp. Remember APR depends on your credit score and the vehicle you're buying.
