So for the C8 Corvette your monthly payment is not miles away from the mortgage of a nice house (if you bought 10 years ago.) Once it is paid off, the car will have ended up costing you $112k It wasn’t that long ago that an expensive car payment was around $500. Still it is a beautiful car, but if you look at prices for used C6’s (including ZO6) and C7’s they seem to hemorrhage value from years 3 to 6, then they level off. And there are plenty of these cars listed for around $22k with exceptionally low mileage.

I also bought a car with 8.5% interest. However, my deal doesn't lock me in to any terms and I had a good plan. I put about 30% down and make principle payments whenever I can so the car will be paid off in less than 2 years and it's good. They get you at the beginning when you end up paying more toward the interest than the principle. If ou can avoid that, it's fine. I'm looking at building my 2025 C8 for 2025 and I will do something similar.

Arguable. You’re always gonna lose money on a depreciating asset, but say the vette was 95,000 and you put down 10,000 dollars. You just financed 85k well if the car is worth still 95k in 3 years and you hardly drove. It then you can obviously get that 10k back, now yes that usually doesn’t happen because cars depreciate. But either money down or finance outright you are paying the same money in the end. Only difference that down payment isn’t getting interest like the loan you opened.

With an 840+ credit score, decent income, you can definitely get a 1.9% rate for 60 months. Or 0.9 for 3 years if you’re willing to pay a higher monthly payment. Also never put a down payment that’s how they get you.

before you go into the gt4, I am assuming Porsche. They are slow. do not have any speed expectations. Sure they are fun but not that fast. If you want fast get a turbo S, turbo. I personally have a cayman S with the 4cyl turbo and I absolutely violate gt4's and there rs sibling as well. test out Multiple models before picking.

Try to refinance with a different bank after a couple months if you can, you’ll probably get a better rate, just went from a 7.9% on a bronco at the dealership to a 5.99% at my credit union Worth refinancing if you’re going to be paying it for over a couple years but if you’re going to pay it off quicker it won’t matter as much
