my grandpa died of melanoma from years of being out in the sun without protection, a tanning bed is the same, he wouldn't want anyone purposefully getting skin damage. also in Australia they are literally banned/illegal bc of the dangers of getting skin cancer, it's not worth it please don't do it :(

maybe its just my australian experience of seeing ads for being sun safe pretty much every single day, but i simply cannot fathom anyone in 2020 still using sunbeds... a tan is so temporary but skin damage isn't. not to be judgemental at all though! just concerned for people, especially girls, that feel like its worth compromising their safety for things like this x

Would not recommend Claire's to get your ears pierced. They are way overpriced, not properly trained and the guns they use are not sterile. I've seen places in London charge between £15- £30 for lobe piercings. Always go to a tattoo/piercing shop and do your research first.

Never trust anywhere that uses a piercing gun! Hollow needles are one use, less painful and quicker to heal. Guns use blunt force trauma and cannot be properly sanitised in an autoclave!

Love you Flossie. BUT.. you cant burn instant coffee (especially powdered instant Cappuccino or similar) with a kettle. Its not burning that changes the taste, coffee burns at 235 °C. Over distillation can happen at temps over 100 °C. The Ideal coffee water is poured at 95 °C, kettle water will be around 92-96 °C by the time your pour it, so the water should be fine. Most of this is irrelevant with instant coffee (which has already been obliterated in production) and only applies to fresh coffee grounds. Its one of those 'old wives tales' that gets passed on. Claire's is expensive for no reason, it's like £25 for piercings with cheap earrings but if you want to have decent earings then the prices are extortionate but I personally think its best to pay loads for better than half the price but bad quality if that makes sense
