My Most Disappointing Reads of 2019

The thing with Vampire Academy is you gotta get past the first 3 books, once you do it gets better and by the time you’re at book 5 you’re invested, Bloodlines is much better, I read this series as it was being published and the time between publications dragged! If you fancy seeing the best of Richelle Mead, try her Dark Swan series 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 I wasn’t down with the Scythe series after book 1, after reading his Unwind series I think I sent the bar too high for this one, Unwind is brilliant. A YA series I don’t see talked about much is Rachel Vincent Soul Screamers, Book 1 is My Soul to Take, it’s not vampires and I don’t see this done in other books, the series is about 11 years old now and it still holds up, better than Vampire Academy I think.

I’m having trouble with Thunderhead also but I’m going to start it again by itself, I was reading three at once so that may be why lol 🧡

Chasing Jack the Ripper, et al is on my TBR list. You made me tear up listening to you talk about Conjuring the Devil. Last year I didn’t read much. This year I’m definitely reading more thanks to you!! 😃

Jennifer Ball's Witch House PLEASE STILL READ THE BOOKS!!! That series is still my all time favorite. And some people loved the fourth book... I just had too many issues with it. It just didn’t fit with the other 3

Paws For The Cause Even though I just bashed the fourth book, I HIGHLY recommend the Stalking Jack The Ripper series!!

Ah, no, say it ain't so! I LOVED Scythe but haven't started Thunderhead yet. I'm still gonna try but I hope my (almost 1 year) break from the series may have me less disappointed.

One of my all time favorite series!!! The other is the fever series by Karen Marie moning! It's an awesome twist on fae!
