Thanks Davud for showing people my beautiful country Bulgaria. It's a very well kept secret 😊 I actually was visiting Belogradchik two weeks ago for the first time. A truly magical place. You missed out on a really amazing Cave, very close to the fortress. It's named Magura Cave. You definitely have to come back to Bulgaria 💚🇧🇬👍

Amazing place, ive been there. But you missed to visit the best restaurant in Belogradjik. There is a vila ontop of the city with stunning views and great traditional food. Ive even drink local beer there.

You have seen a stage in the Belogradchik rocks - it was built for opera performances in the evening. Sorry, you missed hearing opera on the rocks. It is a heavenly and magical experience.

@0:39 Davud makes an incorrect statement that there is nothing to see around Belogradchik except the fortress. As someone who lives in Bulgaria nothing can be further from the truth. There are some amazing caves in that area to visit such as Venetsa and Magura as well as city of Vratsa on the way with great cave of Ledenika. Finally some nice hiking trails can be found near route 81 which most would take from Sofia to get there.

It is actually the belograchik rocks that are the more famous sightseeing, the fortress is just a bonus, the rocks were candidate for the new seven wonders of the world and made it to a good position but not in top 7,ilon musk wrote in Facebook that he likes the place a lot and it reminds him for some epic computer game and our minister of tourism invited him emediately to come here so we can boost a litle our image as tourist destination, and about the balloons, just as you uploaded this video a big tragedy happen in bulgaria as two guys jumped from a hot air balloon with a parachute and one of them died the other is with broken back and neck, this is very dangerous jump, because it's made from small height......I grew up in belograchik reageon and I had been there so many times,it was fun to see the rocks as an Indian chief,or school girl and others that's the most famous,my village is 20km away it is named gorni lom and is famous with the bomb factory wich was blown up before 10 years ,my opinion is that Russians did it,as many people think in our country, cause other bomb factories also got blown in recent years

Belograchik mosque is not in use cause there is no muslims in that part of Bulgaria we have a mosque in my town of vidin it is close to belograchik 60-70km away and our is a museum ,but is the most unique in the world cause on the top of the minaret there is no crescent, but a reversed hearth(you can Google vidin mosque),cause the local Turkish ruler mom was Christian and he was in love with Christian woman, his name was Osman pazvantoglu and was rebel who was semi autonomous in the ottoman empire,we also have very beautiful sinagogue recently renovated, and our own square of tolerance is formed as they have one in Sofia, cause we have sinagogue, mosque and church in 100 meters from one another ,I recomend you Google vidin sinagogue it is amazing and was called the white swan of the Danube when they build it before more than a century

Two million people have left since the collapse of the Soviet Union. Democracy is not working for us either because of corruption. It has also made it much easier for people to flee to other countries.
