With all due respect you can’t change gender. You may think you can along with many others. Here is a hypothetical situation: 500 years in the future (year 2523) someone digs you up and puts you in a museum; they will identify you as a man or a woman based on your bone structure and other factors (women have wider pelvises than men to help with giving birth). You also can’t change your chromosomes, naturally producing hormones and bone structure. Another point is gender and sexuality is soo over complicated for no reason - the bbc recognises that there are 100 genders. You really believe this. I thought it was common knowledge that as soon as your baby is born that the parents 'indoctrinate' their child based on their genitalia. You hold babies differently, talk to them differently, play with them differently, interact with them different...everyday 24/7 your kid gets messages from you defining them as male or female. This continues until they leave home. It is doubtful that your kid will turn gay or trans based on brief interactions with other kids or books. If that were possible, you probably weren't doing your job. Most kids figure out their gender fairly early (I knew at 4) and most gays/trans just come to a different conclusion than other people. You'd like to place the 'blame' on someone or something or institution, but it seems to just happen. Ask any parent of a Trans kid, they are usually taken by surprise...though not always..

I'm glad you can laugh off the transphobes and call them to task by exposing their hatred and idiocy to the light of day. I feel sorry for the transhpobes. I used to be one, I didn't want to accept what I couldn't understand. But I don't understand a lot of things that I must accept, like Quantum Physics and Mandarin. So I made the choice to not be a douche and not care about it. Since then I have made multiple trans friends and was even the first person one came out to. That is an honor that I would never have had if I kept my closed minded ways. These are experiences the transphobes are missing out on.
