The nice thing about the jambalaya skillet is that you can add some scrambled eggs to it and make it a really nice breakfast scramble mix. We did this last week and it worked really well!😊

For the lasagna, if you get the small ground sausage roll from Dollar Tree, or something similar u could add meat to the sauce. That would make it a more complete lasagna. These are all great ideas though. I'm not currently struggling w my income enough to have to extreme budget, but I think your ideas are amazing and follow them often. I'm not currently struggling (i have in the past when i was a young single Mom to 2 kids..no child support .. There were nights i had to count my change to buy something from the Dollar Tree to feed us until i got paid again. My parents often helped buy me groceries when they found out also. Kids never noticed they said bc i tried to hide the struggle from them) I'm married now & basic middle class w a ton of bills... everyone can be inspired by these videos. Great job 👏 👍

Great idea! And, you can keep the price down by getting the cheese at a lower price elsewhere. The DT cheese comes out to $5lb and I usually pay $3 but have seen it at $2.50. This allows the DT sausage but keeps the price at $6.25. And, cheese can be frozen, especially when it will be melted.

Isn’t it great to realize that kids don’t care that you can’t serve steak and lobster? I’m glad you don’t have the same struggles now as before. Videos like these can help everybody have more control over where their income goes. It’s so depressing to feel like you’re working all week just to pay for subsistence level groceries and gas to get you back to work.

For the jambalaya I usually do kielbasa instead of hot dogs and don't judge me but I have some apple sauce on the side to go with it. Don't knock it until you try it!!

I bought some of the John Morrell sausage. It’s basically two big hot dogs. Tastes good. I bought a bag of the frozen peppers and it was a generous amount. Tastes fine too.

We don’t eat meat so when I make something like the jambalaya, I just add a can of rinsed kidney beans after the mix has cooked and it’s good. I think the ravioli from the Tree is one of the best bargains in the store…your meal with it looked great!

You never had that before,the recipe has been out there for years, you can even do one layer if your by yourself to save yourself some money! I did it in tortellini not all that long ago, and, I used ground Italian Sausage, but, since, I only did one layer of stuffed pasta, I used a carton of extra ricotta to make it good and creamy! And, yes, I topped it with Italian blend cheese! 0:11

All of these look great! If you microwave your peppers for 30 seconds to a minute it will decrease your skillet time, less water run off. Another winning video!

The seasoning is usually in big chunks, even though it's in with the rice. Dump it all out in a colander over a large bowl, pick out the seasoning chunks, and shake the colander to get any loose spices out. Save the spices, and add during cooking after tasting to see if it's ok for the kids.

I use those idahoan potatoes and yes you do need the milk. Otherwise, they are flavorless. You need the milk. And those chicken nuggets are disgusting. They’re just bits and pieces of leftover chicken. You’ve got some good ideas going, but I would never use those chicken nuggets.

I wondering if, maybe you perhaps you might reconsider wearing that satanic shirt you had on near the end of the video for the lasagna recipe in the future? It's more than likely just a shirt to you, but for the Christians in your audience, it's deeply disheartening to see.
