For a multi-vehicle (and multiple-figure) diorama, you could do something like a maintenance depot, where multiple tanks from the same side are in various stages of being torn down and worked on. Lots of potential for showing tank internals with open panels, engines being lifted out, etc., and figures interacting with the tanks and each other.

Back in the day (I am so dating myself) things like that were Francois Verlinden's bread and butter - but back then, there were no 'how to' videos, just very expensive (and hard to find) books that didn't really have much in the way of work in progress photos

A stug fire support scene would be cool too, maybe them digging in. With his love of heavy mud etc, an "in motion" scene of a couple of t-34s moving fast at Kirsk or the like could be pretty cool too. Some real possibilities for water and mud being slung of tracks with some very simple modeling and clear resin prints.

10:35 I actually quite like the idea of a long-running series of "How to hyper-detail your tanks". As a 40K modeller/player I'm largely at the mercy of what's in the GW kit. I've never really learned, or had the opportunbity to learn, how to go about adding that kind of detail to something. I've got the Forge World Modellers Masterclass book which touches on it, but i don't really feel like it's trying to be an exhaustive guide. I like to see a breakdown of the process, but also understand the reasoning behind why something is the way it is, or where it is etc.

I built the AT-1 and only remember cursing the individual track links, they are impossible to assemble w/o a microscope and being a neurosurgeon...I got myself an "old" ZVEZDA OT-26 with link and length tracks to replace the kit ones. I would love a decent M-103. On a side note I corrected the Dragon M6 heavy tank turret as per Panzerserra's instructions, which was do-able. I built the Kondensator OOB, its good enough for me...

If you want to do battle damage on a plane, there was a lot of research done with a view to armour planes in WW2. The documents show locations of damage on planes that survived. The original idea was to put armour there but in reality if the plane received damage elsewhere it wouldn't have survived. Would be worth looking into if you wanted to do a battle damaged plane, maybe one that's really badly damaged and the mechanics are too busy to fix so it's been sitting in the open for a few months.

I enjoy all of the videos but the construction videos are my favorite! Love getting ideas on how to better improve models through kit bashing, creating new parts or missing parts from scratch, and just putting the personal touches on it. The painting videos are also great but I could definitely watch a multi-part research, construciton, and paint mini-series on that russian model! I know you are beholden to those who invest money into your videos but man from a subscriber/regular viewer this would be an amazing series and I would be behind it 100%.

One kit (or several) I really don't like building are the 1/72 Hinds from Zvezda. The fuselage just doesn't fit together, so many gaps! Too bad they got multiple versions you can build. If only Hobby boss had more versions of their Hind, that kit builds so good.

12:33 Because of aerodynamics and how different air combat is compared to ground combat. Airframes that are too damaged aren't airworthy and will be scrape or used for parts. Airplanes also take way less damage, of course you could do a B-17 with battle damage diorama. The problem also is often that people don't understand what damage on an aircraft would look, as aircraft weapons fire way larger volumes of rounds and HE shell (look up 30mm Mk 108 test on a Spitfire) expose way more internal as planes aren't as armored as tanks. A simple string of bullet holes ala Indiana Jones isn't realistic, they would instead be swiss cheese. Finally a shot down aircraft usually results in a total mess of a wreck.

My most regrettable purchase of a model was when I, who back then basically had lack of knowledges about modeling and had not really good instruments, bought a god damn 1/72 PE-8 from zvezda and decided to build it. I did finish building it and now when i look at it i think about painting it, but then noticing the mistakes and thick glue marks makes me look away from it and just keep making smaller models i got. Ironically, but the interior building and painting of that plane went quite well despite the fact that i was only beginning and starting to learn that hobby. Obvious conclsion: *don't buy difficult, large and expensive models at the beginning stage of modelling even if you have good instruments. Gain skill on smaller and cheaper projects.*

Aircraft are actually extremely fragile IRL. You can puncture a commercial jet's skin with a screw driver and given enough time, you can knock that jet out of commission by just stabbing its skin with a screw driver. Given that many planes are flying when they get damaged, planes tend to come apart very easily and end up being trash heaps on ground when damaged. Thus, not many modellers want to make their planes damaged as that means that their plane is now out of commission and having a model depicting wrecked vehicle is nowhere near as cool as having one depicting a working vehicle.
