HI Murray, great viewing. My sister and I bumped into your pal, Jerry, a wee while ago (16th, or 17th April), near Inveroran, he was out walking with his wife, sincere apologies, getting old and not good at keeping names. Anyway, it a great blither and lovely folk to chat with - asked him to pass on my best wishes to you, and thanks also, for the work you have put in over a long time now, damn impressive and great viewing. All the best, Garry & Yvonne Paton

We alway fill a couple of thermos flasks of boiling water just before we leave the house for van coffee - even 24 hours later it takes just a few seconds to boil the kettle up - saves on the van gas supplies!

Thank you Murray, that coffee was very well earned, completely agree, you can get into trouble on any hill very quickly in Scotland if you are not prepared. It always amazes me seeing folk (tourists) walking in shorts and trainers with nothing else and I see the clouds coming in...

Every little trip is a great journey. Know only too well how spontaneous trips can generate delays and errors, but all credit to you battling to the top. My first real hill trip in several years the other week was just a local hill , Broad Law, c815m, near Moffat. Weather was dire with foul sleet and strong winds all the way there and back, but I did it and sometimes you just have to be 'out there'. I was well chuffed when I got back and the knees had coped OK. You inspire me to keep trying Murray. Cairngorms in a couple of weeks :)

Had similar up An Caisteal about three months back. Wind was fierce, easily 60 mph probably more, knocked me off my feet once or twice. The small particles of ice in the cloud were a little sore on any exposed skin 😬 One of my favourites 😂 Maybe.

Excellent stuff, it reminded me of your recent video about how KZbin isn't all about sunny mountains, northern lights and perfect drone footage, it is certainly how many of us remember our days on the hill in Scotland. Glen Almond does look fantastic, I'm ashamed to admit that I never walked there :( When I wore my ski goggles I knew the weather was a bit rubbish! But we persist and find some perverted pleasure in it all, especially in retrospect :)

Superb video, captures the 'delights' of walking in dense mist on a snowscaped landscape. Brrrrr. Thank you for posting. I finished my last Munro in 1996 (yes I am an old man now), but have to confess I have been there many times, even just to claim a top (or so I hoped in the cloud). Do I like it? Of course not, but spending a couple of hours resting on a summit cairn on a gorgeous summers day, encapsulated by the glorious loveliness of the Highlands more than makes up for it.

They are Graham's, nobody calls them a Fiona. 😆 I did the two Graham's to the east of Glen Almond as a plan B a few months ago, a nice sheltered approach between them on the route from the north, up Meall Reamhar, down and up to Meall nan Caorach, then along to Creag Ghorm and down. Plenty of routes you can choose, good viewpoints too, good if you are out on another day like this one! I had ice the entire way but it was no bother with spikes, cheers.

@@ScotlandsMountains Haha yeah i'd love to be half an hour away instead of an hour and half! I've had my eye on the hills to the north of Glen Almond for a while, both the Loch Tay side and Sma Glen side. I will probably camp for the middle ones though! It's amazingly remote place for being so close to civilisation, I might have to go back sooner to explore, once the weather gets better than what you had! 🤣

That's mad that Alan Dawson took out a trademark on the term 'Grahams' in 2022! 🤯 I guess lockdown affected people in different ways 🤷🏻♂️ I mean the agreed list was a combined effort, but mainly his (errors and omissions of Fiona Torbet corrected by Dawson's) but Graham is her surname. Surely if the name was decided collectively one or t'other cannae exclusively trademark it? And to what end anyway? Does anyone know what lay behind this seemingly petty move? 🤔
